I think we have got to trust our prospects. The same thing is said every year going back to Boeser Petey Quinn Hogs and now Pods. They are well prepared and have been scouted well. Believe in the force Luke.

more time to see how Miller does as the 1C. So far I really like what I am seeing from him.

I think he is the teams number 1 C

I don't have Petey as 3C

Hog JTM Boeser (18 min)
Pod Petey ?? (18 min)
Pearson Bo JV (18 min)
Motte ?? ??

You have to think they will build off Miller being an effective Centre. He has definitely improved his play also.

Petey would help most guys score if they went to the net so you could pair him with Suter, Gaudette, Motte (who was a goal scorer in junior), or Mac. Petey and Pod seems a little soft and/or inexperienced though.

The possibilities and combinations could fill an entire website. I think that it is a very good thing taking the pressure off trying to find a third center for next year.

I know Lind is getting good revues but it is a watered down league . The team will figure it out but they are good problems to have. Me personally I would bring Sutter back one more year to the delight of most of the people in here

Sutter at 1 x 1.7M

That’s pretty good down the middle. Lind replaces sutter the year after or starts on the wing next year.

Mandatory mullets in year 2 thru 7 as it takes at least a year to grow a "real" mullet

3. It sounds like there’s some interest in Vancouver’s Tyler Motte, who played well in last season’s playoffs. This is the time for telephone flirtation, where teams ask about so many things that don’t go anywhere. I think the Canucks were asked about Nate Schmidt — but I don’t sense that’s got legs.

He also mentioned Hamonic to Wpg if Canucks are on the outside .

Exactly and they aren’t buying him out. No room for Sutter

I don't think we move him and I don't think our D is bad so I wouldn't . We have a few young fellows that are going to be ready to step in shortly on D ( OJ Rathbone and Woo in two years)

I would stay on course and turn two scoring lines into three. I think a line of Petey Pods and someone else would be better than Sutter Gaudette Michaelis

- VANTEL

The only way you move him is if Barzal is coming the other way. Maybe NYI would do it if they thought they could sign Petey for less.

You look year after year for a player like Petey and Hughes

This makes me laugh. He is going nowhere . Him and team president Francesco Aquilini love this team.

Yesterday was the last chance to sign Tryamkin for this year . If signed the soonest he can play now is next year.

I'm not advocating anything. But Canucks not making playoffs can bring consequences in the offseason. We do have all those poster opinions that know it all.

As for Tryamkin why is there a different signing date then Podz?

I think they are classified as tier one and tier two . Different regulations.

True but until Focht/Costmar/Lind can make him a scratch or waiver possibility he's the guy for the grind.

I can see Sutter signing with the Flames taking over from departed Bennett.

They can fit Sutter in at 1.5 . You can have a fourth line of Sutter Beagle Motte

Green has done a great job with this group.

Yes I agree that team play has been much better lately, the defence are limiting chances and Demko is making the necessary stops.

Doesn't that apply to free agents but team reserve list players exempt? Also, not clear on the eligible for playoffs date either, anyone know?

Does it matter what number they are called if they are all playing 18 minutes a night? I think it matters more to us than it does to them.
- VANTEL

Every time there is a lineup posted by whatever media outlet they have Pettersson’s line as second and Horvats as first, yet everyone refers to Petey as top line and Horvat as second....conclusion, it doesn’t matter where they are numbered.

Yeah just like they could fit Tanev, Marky and Leivo. But desperate Flames will overpay and Sutts might want to end it with the family business.
