Is it weird that not ONE goalie was mentioned???

I like the idea of adding guys that don't take nights off and play a heavy game for a nice playoff run but what about in the net? Are we comfortable with the current throuple of oft injured or leaky net minders?

Bennett
Crouse
Foligno
Stall
Maroon
etc...fu3k ya, let's go for it this year...who cares about a late 1st round pick or couple of prospects if the Leafs can win it all. This team is really close IMO.

But maybe McIllhenney or someone should be considered too.

Andersen
Campbell
McIll

Would make my butt hole pucker less during the games.

What part of the last 2 games tells you that the team is really close?

Well, I think if you watch the last 2 games...then for some strange reason watch the other 24 games..you can get a better idea

Overall the Leafs have done pretty damn good this season wouldn't you say?

There will be ups and downs to a season, it happens to every team except the Tampa Bay team that lost in 4 to the Jackets.

to me barring some melt down or crazy goalie preformance they have a good shot at winning a couple rounds and getting to the conf finals...

so now is a good time to try and get that done, dont know there will ever be another chance like this

It's as good a year as any for the Leafs.

Not that it would be easy and god knows anything from a bad slump at the wrong time or an injury can mess everything up.

Should be fun playoffs, whatever the matchups are.

It's the best chance they've had in my lifetime.

People will point to 1993, but people forget they finished 3rd in their division.

And yes, the Northern Division will definitely help.

Not my fault, and not my problem.

Exactly. This team has been frequently outplayed and outworked this season by much lesser skilled teams. A hot power play and a lethal offense that can strike quickly has often carried the day.

Granted, there seems to be more commitment to play better team D and the actual d-corps has improved from last season (the right side especially) but I'm not feeling this team being 1 piece away from legit Cup favourites.

President's Trophy? Sure.

They should meet good opposition from any of the top 4 team in the division.

But avoiding Tampa/Boston in the first two rounds is a blessing for sure. For anyone.

Playoffs won't be fun, only one team from the east will be in (no I don't mean Montreal) so there will be too many late games.

I would like to see a tough winger for Matthews line and another for Tavares line.
keep the 3rd line together as they are built for playoffs.one more tough dman.
Boyd, Spezza, Sabourin on 4th line. Then you could use Simmons with Tavares.

- explorer

did not know he played for the Leafs. I know he write about them.
Simmonds was the ice skating so he shouldn't be that far away from returning to the line up.

No, it wouldn’t be enough. A late second, 2 years of Kerfoot at $3.5 and Lili could be beaten by someone else also looking for a major add.
- Canada Cup

Not a chance that would be beaten and there’s no way the leafs would give up that much.

I agree, the 93 team needed everything to go right just to beat Detroit in the first round.

every fan of every team will say the same thing as you.
