Obviously there's no defined 3rd line there. Either one can be your third line, but I think this strengthens the Pens without giving away too many futures. Also, if Hex was able to find a way to move Matheson instead, clearly that would be preferred, but I think we are stuck.

I think this gives the Pens enough options to rotate whichever players have the hot hand at the moment.

You don’t have to add to the blue line at all, goal keeping has stabilized, and with Malkin and Letang rounding into form there’s enough high end talent to be competitive. Getting a scoring winger and a defensive 4C that lets you bump Blueger up isn’t an impossible task.

Maybe this is too much, but I'd consider a Tatar/Zucker swap if they could pre-negotiate and extension. I'm honestly a fan of Zucker and thought he was killing it when he first got here, but if he's not going to play with Sid or on a third line with a good center, I think it's best to change the dynamic.

Doing that for someone who’s not under contract moving forward is exactly what we should not do. We need to get back someone who helps for multiple seasons.
