McCann is a fine player but like Kapanen he’s not really a clear cut top 6 guy and is going to go through some major dry spells. Malkin needs a guy to ride shotgun with him, not a second third wheel. We’re past that point of his career.

While I'm still not that confident the Pens make it, I'm 100% convinced that barring any major meltdowns, that's exactly how close it will be. It's going to come down to everyone's last game of the season.
