Only thing I see them doing is trying to get an upgrade over MDC. They don't have any money and like the article said nobody is lining up for Uncle Leo, Ladd or Hickey

I readily admit that I don't know much about Brett Connolly, but he has one more point than MDC in 2 more GP. And he plays on the fourth-highest scoring team in the league.

Maybe he's an upgrade defensively? He's also signed for two more years at $3.5M so not really sure where that rumor is coming from.

D depth makes sense as well, after the 6 playing there will be a big drop of in talent if we had an injury to anyone of them.

I think Connolly is more of a change of scenery trade hoping he regains some of his scoring. He was a pretty good player for the capitals.
