Wilson’s suspension will cost him $311,000 which is a big sum of cash.
That said I don’t think it was a long enough suspension, he has a history but wasn’t charged or viewed as a repeat offender because his last suspension was longer than 18 month ago. That to me is ridiculous. There shouldn’t be a time frame that designates a repeat offender imho.
(frank)ers that hit like that repeatedly no matter how far apart and injure a player should be suspended for as long as the injured player is out if longer than the offenders suspension.
In addition, OV spearing a player in the nuts and received a $5,000 fine is laughable as well. OV climbing the all time goal scorers ladder shouldn’t have any bearing on what he can and can’t do on the ice. There should have been a suspension of some sort for that offense.
