Maybe you should read up on the Boarding infraction - as it appears you don't really know what it is or how it should be applied.

I dunno…..I don't really like or dislike Wilson. I watched it a few times. Seemed like a big guy hitting a little guy in a rough game. His head ends up getting hit because he bends downish mid-hit.

Funny Tom Wilson was getting some consideration for Canada's Olympic team. Fourth liner or taxi squad.

Probably not anymore.

Remember that time Wilson got Wilson'd by Reaves and Wilson's salty tears almost ruined the ice surface....

So the next time Wilson gets Wilson'd, no matter how dirty it is, it will be well deserved. Hopefully the next time ends his career.

100%. At this point it’s either he stops playing or he is going to end someone else’s career eventually the only question is when?

Wilson has been suspended four times in his 543-game NHL career.

* Sept. 22, 2017: Two preseason games, for a late hit on Robert Thomas of the Blues in a preseason game.

* Oct. 3, 2017: Four regular-season games for boarding Sammy Blais of the Blues in a preseason game.

* May 2, 2018: Three playoff games for an illegal check to the head of Zach Aston-Reese of the Pittsburgh Penguins, who suffered a broken jaw and a concussion.

* Oct. 3, 2018: 20 regular-season games, which were reduced to 14 on an NHLPA appeal to an arbitrator, for an illegal check to the head of Oskar Sundqvist of the Blues in a preseason game.

Tom Wilson's career will end with someone doing the same thing to him. Only difference is that no one will feel bad about it.

Armstrong hates Wilson, zero chance of this happening.

Real good clean hit, with an unfortunate result. He made contact with the shoulder, and on the follow through Carlo's head drops down and gets hit on Wilson's follow through of the hit.

Carlo's elbow was also up at Wilson when Wilson came in for the hit. You have to wonder what his intention was there.

Wilson hit was shoulder first, head follow-through second. It was an unfortunate result to what was a clean hit once upon a time.

The OV situation was gutless. If you're provoked drop the gloves...don't spear the nuts.

Overall: both these incidents show how soft this game has become.

Carlo is 6'5". So even with Carlo looking for the puck Wilson was aiming high.

Can we stop pretending when guys like Wilson and Marchand do something like this it isn't intentionally a dangerous hit? Both these guys are legit good hockey players but have little to no regard for opposing players safety.... I'd say the suspension is fine and probably should be longer.

As for Ovi, I don't know what had already transpired in the game before that. But I don't really have a problem with him cup checking a guy for cross checking him twice. It's kind of bush league but I don't think it's near suspension worthy. The fine is kind of a joke, but OK.

What years are you pining for? The Scott Stevens head-hunting years? Maybe you can discuss with Paul Kariya.

Or are you going back even further when hockey players were "tough". You know, the years when players were smaller, slower and did not wear body armor that allows them to hit others at full speed without much harm to themselves?

yeah, well they teach you as a 6 year old to keep your head up. What's Wilson supposed to do, start yelling "hey I'm gonna hit you now" as he comes in?

And there we go... blame the victim.

Do you excuse all the "blind-side hits to the head" as well, because the offender should not need to announce his intension to hit?

If you can't hit someone without taking their head into the glass you need to let up. Players health is way, way more important than making an impactful play. They kind of teach safety to 6-year-olds these days.

This is what is key here. The hit itself was borderline because it was clearly a charge. But it was a blindside hit to a guy that was already engaged on the boards. Wilson 100% was out to hurt the guy that was not expecting a hit. Wilson got exactly what he deserved. Hopefully he gets taken out before he ruins someone’s career.

Will you feel the same way when someone takes Marchand out? Because that would be just as deserved....

I don't know what play you are watching but Carlo was standing there all by himself. Puck was at his feet. Name of the game is separate the man from the puck. Hockey play.

exactly. This really isn't much different than things the Bruins do on a regular basis.

In fact, there are several Bruins that have done far worse.

Now the shoe is on the other foot and they're all uppity. They lose Chara and they're too soft to deal with it, so their fans get all pissy. I'd like to see some of this on Marchand next. Taht would be some real sweet justice.

Lost in all this is now Marchand being a ratface to Ty Smith in the NJ game.

Which if you ask Jack Edwards

"Why would Ty Smith headbutt Marchand's stick with the back of his head like that. Mahchahnd da bes'.... BROOOOOONS"

After the play was dead, Smith didn't have the puck, was just boxing him out.

I'd say that's far worse than Tom Wilson's hit. 15 games?

That fact that Baby Marchand is a POS on the ice has no direct bearing on if Tomahawk Wilson is a POS on the ice. Everyone knows they are both guys who go way over the line and endanger other players. While I complete get the 'live by the sword, die by the sword' attitude, you can't run a league on frontier justice.

Wilson should be suspended and Marchand should get suspended for the poop he did to Ty Smith in the last game.

You really don't understand the difference between "separating the man from the puck" and "crushing someone's head into the glass"? Seriously?

Marchand is a wiener too and should be dealt with harshly. These guys needs to be sent a message. There is a difference between a body check and blatantly trying to injure a guy.
