He was primarily an outdoor cat that was completely useless, never ate mice. We had a house for him by the door and the coons would occasionally show up and eat his food but never a problem. I saw that coon a few days before and it didn't look well and he was gone by the time I got the rifle. Think it was a scuffle for food and he tore up his back leg. Never recovered, he was 14.

That's what I've used in the past, really quiet. Never heard about the nipple, makes sense. They don't work in the pistol though, just the bolt-action rifle.

I'm rural enough that the cordite smell would have dissipated by the time the cops come looking, which they never do. Might be some questions about the blood stain though.
