15 days already? Seems like it was just last week.
Maybe dealing with the Russian government, I mean KGB, is what is taking so long.
So we don't even know if Panarin is still in the US. When this is over he might have to quarantine, hell, maybe his is right now but I would think there would be an announcement when it's over. |

Yep.
Personally, I have never understood how it's not illegal to hit someone who is ABOUT to possess the puck. How the (frank) is it not interference to lay a guy out when he's reaching for a puck he has yet to touch?
p.s. - nice response to the stillframe poster on the Ek's main thread!! - Tonybere

From what's been reported he's still skating, I'm guessing that's locally. I doubt he's going to go back to Russia especially with all the political drama going on over there. He's most likely scared for his family, and trying to find a way to get them out, which given the political drama over there might be easier said than done.

Didn't think he would go there now, or even in the off-season anymore even though he loves it there. Glad to see he is still skating, only thing I worry about is if he will have to quarantine before he can return. |

I think most of us are at a loss for how the team can play so well some games and so terribly others.
Early start tonight (6PM) anyone think Kinkade get's the nod? He looked solid in relief and it could be a little bit of a wake up call to Georgiev.

I would think it's fairly likely. Georgie has been as alarming this season as Zibby, just not so noticeable due to his position. |

I can't believe his inability to stop a breakaway. It's like he freezes up and just slides backwards. |

That first one last game, he hung his head so noticeably that I immediately thought he is struggling mentally with breakaways, for sure.
He might miss Hank more than anyone. |

Vally was taling about it the other night
we arguably had the best breakaway goalie ever in Hank for a very long time and Georgiev is absolutely dreadful at them and I'd say Shesty is proving to be average at best at them
takes a bit to get used to
I think everyone is starting to wonder if Georgiev is good enough moving forward

Backup goalie is something that is going to be important for this franchise. While Shesty looks like the franchise guy going forward he has suffered a few groin type issues already in his career. He also hasn't started more than 3 games in a row yet as a starter in the league. I think the most games he ever played in a season is 37 in the KHL. Can he handle a full workload that is needed to be the guy? |

I understand the concern but I don't think it is warranted, yet.
I think we were all a bit spoiled with Hank. To think a goalie was going to come in like he did and be lights out was unrealistic. I think Shestyorkin has a lot of potential but I am doubtful he will ever be a long term/career franchise goalie like Hank was. It's not that I don't think he is capable it's just that what Hank was able to give us is very rare. |

Oh I def think Shesty has the tools and skills. I just worry about these groin injuries that keep popping up. I just hope he can handle the full work load year in and year out. |
