Need Batherson to score in OT and to win this week and 0-2 on breakaways
Edit: then he scores in the shootout for the win.

Rumors: Steve Simmons from the Toronto Sun reported that he has heard #CBJ Nick Foligno’s name keeps popping up in #LeafsForever rumors. Simmons said a package could include pieces like Alex Kerfoot, Rasmus Sandin, Timothy Liljegren, Nick Robertson or an early draft pick.

No place for fact or logic when the “Soft serve, bad Fred, always on his belly, never steals us games, never keeps us in games, always gives up the bad goal at the bad time, hasn’t even won us a cup yet” derp parade is going on Garnie!
You know this come on! :-) - Cush29
Cush, as a goalie, do you not watch him, and see the going down too early, overplaying the shooter, flailing around all over the place, and the obligatory bad goal, at least one, every game.
Freddy apologists point out that the goals were "good" if it would have been a tough save. Well the stats aren't looking very good either and the eye test tells me that Demko faced a much tougher task and performed much better. |

So he goes to make a butterfly leg save his D deflects to an open man for an open net and that’s a softie??
The 4th is a 3 on 1 and he’s at the top of crease, he comes out further and it’s a pass to an open net you’re hanging him for that. 🤷🏻♂️
You call it soft goals, I call it soft play in front. 😞
Not sure we’ll ever agree on hockey’ing, so we’ll just chat about the fun stuff on this site, like making fun of Sens fans etc. - Garnie
As described, no.
What I notice though is so many of these goals he could not possibly stop were because he was way the (frank) out of the net playing the shooter.
Pay attention to how often he goes down and slides so that he is not covering most of the net. Even when he makes saves, he is out of position. Also look at rebounds, how early he goes down, and just the generally scrambly nature of every save.
He look rattled and without confidence. It is so bad that at this point nobody is surprised when anything goes in.
If he let in a crappy goal in the next game, would it be a shock? |

Actually, I think Foligno would be a good fit for the playoffs.
The problem is that the Leafs have to be so careful with young assets. The salary structure is such that it is critical that they can round out a competent roster on the cheap. |

I feel like trading Sandin could really bite us in the ass like that other swedish kid we traded years ago that UG was so upset about...

Foligno would be a fine add, but not for those prices...not a chance Dubas does that.

There is no way the Leafs would include any of their top prospects for Nick Foligno. He's decent, but has regressed. He's a 3rd liner at this point in his career |

I think he’ll be good too, not saying he’ll be a top pair.
BUT HE WILL BE IF WE TRADE HIM 😮 |
