Zacha isn't going to recoup assets of those quality. At best you're going to get a middling draft pick (late 2nd/early 3rd) or somebody else's failed prospect in a scenery swap.

I don't have the data on hand but the fail rate of first round picks becoming every day NHL players is pretty high. I think we should be happy with Zacha and retain.

I agree. I'll take our chances with a floor 3rd line center and ceiling of maybe a top 6 winger.

On TV these Caps jerseys look like old Panthers jerseys and it's throwing me for a loop.

He plays with serious patience and poise out there. Going to be a great player for a long time.

Hughes looked very good to start the season and is still looking good out there but it seems like his lije isn't going and not getting on the board and he has gone quiet points wise

It was the best of times. Jersey was that close to 5 Cups in 10 seasons (94, 95, 00, 01, 03). And the Nets were 2 dynasty teams away from back to back championships (Lakers and Spurs..)

this Vukojevic character may be a player. Seems to be playing well in the Bing, is 6'3, 212lbs, good skater. Could be a nice match with Walsh. And there's your top 4. Bahl and the russian on 3rd pair. Smith and Severson top pair.

It's nice having promising prospects, but we've been on this road before with the Urboms and Burlons of the world. This year has been fun and encouraging with the kids, and we'll get more of it next season with Holtz, Mercer, Foote, Walsh, and whoever else may be ready. The only higher rated prospect to make our team this year was Smith. Next season we could have a handful make the jump.

Just a dreadful season. Not because they suck, but because they were on fire at the beginning...AND THEN WENT INTO SUCK MODE. Can't even consistently suck. Gotta get hopes up first and then tank. And our coverage kinda sucks too. We have a guy who posts every 4th or 5th game. This team is killing my love for hockey.

If they suspend our season again Blackwood can finally get the rest he needs to come back strong.

If I was the GM for a day my first three moves for the day would be;

1) talk to ownership about selling the team to a Quebec base business group.

2) invite Erika Wachter to join me for some poutine and pastrami at Hobby’s Deli.
