Something I don’t like and it’s relatively new is when a player turns his back into an opponent to make a hit. Hagel just did it, he hit the Tampa player with his back instead of his shoulder. The Tampa player absorbed the hit and carried on with the puck while Hagel was off balance and unable to make a challenge for the puck. I see this so much, and I have no idea why some players do this?

Pissy attitude from a team who didn't play well in the first. Expect that to change.

Looks better than Carlsson so far. Not sure what happened to him he was good last year and not so much this year.
- GPHawksfan

Carlsson has had a couple injuries training camp and last month. I believe that he was shifted back and forth as he plays well on both RD and LD. More than anythino else, Bowman knows what he has in Carlsson and wacted to get a look at the improved play from Beaudin

It is a numbers game on defense. Eventuly one if the prospecs might be traded. There is only so many spots on defense and maybe Bowman prefers a Carlsson who will hit over two offensive game players in Beaudin and Kalynuk. How well each player prigresses only makes future decisions tougher. Hard to know what Bowman thoughts are as maybe he is waiting to see how players develop, what happens with Expansion etc al. Will both Murphy and Zadorov be here next season. Maybe just one of them? Between Expansuin Draft and a desire to cut a couple of veterans as a means to save a little bit of $$$. Will need to pay Suter and others more next season

Walmark, Janmark, Carpenter, Soderberg being veterans may be considered to be moved if Bowman stresses to keep getting younger.

Perfect period, think the champs are a little frustrated right now. They are going to come out angry in the 2nd. Hawks need to be ready!!

I'd do whatever it takes to keep Janmark. I knew he was a decent player. But watching him more I really appreciate his game.

I agree. Not sure Shaw will ever be back, at this stage of their careers I’m going to say Janmark is more valuable. If no Shaw, then I’m good with Janmark at 3x3. The only concern is that he is currently playing for a contract, sometimes you have to be careful that the UFA will regress after he signs.

He is a good guy to have on a good day and I do like him, but he is a dime a dozen.

Very impressed with this team . Fun to watch that's for sure
Would like the Hawks to keep Janmark, Soda and Big Z.
As long as we stay in playoff poistion why get rI'd of anyone if it's only going to be 2nd or 3 Rd picks coming our way .
Imagine this team next year with hopefully a healthy Dach and Toews

I think he's done playing his overall health should be his prority along with his young family.. there's always a concern signing a player to a contract when they're playing that year as a UFA. I think Janmark is not that type of player. Like GP said he never got an opportunity to show his worth in Dallas

& a couple holding penalties not called. I'm used to them at this point.

Except that one.

You can’t run over a goaltender like that without a penalty being called.

Looks like the Hawks are buyers at the TDL! And with $24M in LTIR you could get an Eichel!
