The latest skid has much more to do with defensive turnovers, goaltending, poor discipline, and lastly goal scoring. Our highest paid players including Weber and Price were not doing their jobs. If we want to start winning need to start with defense and not to mention face offs. Get those things together and your goals and wins will come

6 of the last 9 loses they have scored 2 goals or less, including 3 shutouts... goal scoring is a major issue

Unfortunately, this is how I expect Bergevin reacted when people explained the issue to him. This may be why he cannot understand what obviously needs to be done.

And what is it that needs to be done exactly?

Like I said in my last post and earlier one you can’t score or win if you are in the box all the time !! Let’s discuss this when the team get this part of the game together . That being said I have no issues with keeping whatever lines we had at thr beginning of the year when it was clicking

durant son commentaire d'après-match Ducharme a utilisé l'expression "we paid cash" en anglais, en voulant dire que son équipe avait fait des erreurs coûteuses... même en français c'est pas une expression que j'utilise vraiment, ça sonne weird je trouve loll

Karine I'm sure you heard Ducharme saying that they "paid cash" for the team's mistakes last game...?
- Pat1993

Yup heard him, why? Goes to my point even french speaking coaches do everything in english now because that’s the language the players talk. Just like Bergevin and his: à la fin de la journée et c’est un bon joueur épais lol

Isn't this on the coach to make the adjustment? I think if the defense and goalies were playing to their potential it wouldn't be an issue. They're scoring enough to win, but not stopping enough goals against.

23 goals for in the last 10 games is not enough to win

You are on the ball on that. We are not even playing to our potential on defence and goaltending yet a lot of us are making it sound like it’s one or two players that’s causing us to lose, it’s a team game. Yes the offense needs to wake up but main issue is defense and goaltending

The 5-4 OT loss to Ottawa and the 6-3 loss to the Jets are the only 2 times that goaltending and/or defense has cost them games during this stretch.... other than that, lots of 2-1 and 3-2 loses in the last 12 games...

When I say defense I am also talking about discipline and turnovers as well as weak goals. Constant theme from their games in Feb as well as taking penalties is a recipe for disaster as you are always defending and cant counter

If the goalie and defense were only letting in 1-2 goals a game it certainly could be. Instead 3-4 goals per game against is much more typical.
