Do we really need him anyway, Strome will be back soon enough - BetweenTheDots
True. Besides K. Dach will never be the same after the broken wrist. |

And Boker is a bust because he had 13 concussions in juniors. |

For those keeping score Jokiharju was scratched today, interesting. - Angotti
Things in Buffalo are a mess, I wouldn't read too much into that. Jokiharju will still be a solid d-man now that Stan has traded him. |

Note Dame undrafted junior forward Alex Steeves, 14G and 15A in 27 games this year may be turning pro after the season. He’s a linemate of Hawk prospect Landon Slaggert. Wouldn't be surprised if the Hawks are in the running for him. |

Could be worth a shot. The Hawks are at 48 of the allowable 50 contracts, they could sign him for this season but next season would be more likely. |

Might be several teams in the running for him. He'll probably want the 1st year of his ELC burned this season. Don't know if Stan would offer that up.
BTW he's listed at 5-11 and 187 lbs. Fairly good size.

Chicago would be a solid 2nd in the North! Playing Oilers, Sens, Nucks, Flames, Habs .... those 5 teams are trash... - hawk35
How good can a division be that has the Leafs in 1st! |

He'll end up playing in the Belarusian Extraleague for shiny stones and pieces of string. |

That makes sense, too. I just don't want them to go all in on a high-priced superstar by offering up any of our promising prospects. It's not likely to get us to the finals, so what would be the return on investment? - pdx2ord
I don't see Stan taking this team back to "cap hell." It goes against the stated plan of building a strong team top to bottom. |

I'm watching the Panthers/Predators game. Bobrovsky just took one of the biggest dives ever, he really should feel shame.

I know the beloved are fighting for a playoff spot and FLA is part of the competition, but I love seeing NSH getting routed.

Considering how he has played for the last 1-1/2 years, if Bobo doesn't feel shame for cashing Panther cheques, why would he feel guilty about a little dive? But after the game, Q may kick him in the gonads as a bit of discipline. |

Oh no question. Loved that they teased the window being wide open only to slam it shut a couple seasons later. |

Awesome. But it probably means I don't see them play in Rockford game which starts shortly. Unless recall after the game. Anyway, send Bowey down for a couple games conditioning. Give Kalynuk game or two. Carlsson should stay up and in lineup. If DeHahm has sore muscles annoying back or shoulder let him rest a bit. Even if he is pronounced fit to return. DeHahn can work back in as he feels ok after each game. He will retire as soon as his contract allows anyway. I believe he has one more year[img][/img] |
