I would expect key changes but not a full rebuild. It's too late to do that by now after last season (Anderson, Toffoli, Allen to some degree, Gallagher, Petry, etc). - deadpoulet
Purely hypothetical rebuild but I don't think it ever makes sense to flip a complete roster. That said turning over nearly half of it would make sense in a rebuild. There's five categories, keepers, UFAs, cap dumps for whatever you can get, no trades and if value is given. Suzuki, Kotkaniemi, Anderson, Romanov, maybe Toffoli, are my only lock keepers on the current NHL roster. And again, all hypothetical, I think the Habs figure it out and this whole thing is moot
At the end of the day, I think it will be their pick if he keeps that level of play or stay close to it.
Mtl will protect Weber (I don't think they get to chose anyway) Petry and one of Chiarot or edmundson on the defense. Seattle could pick one of them. - deadpoulet
They can expose Weber, he doesn't have protection, he wasn't eligible when he signed this deal...

A lot of this comes down to Price and how they manage his minutes and of coz how well he plays. Unlike Marc-Andre Fleury he has been injured a few times so need to get him into a groove where he doesn’t overthink hence why Sean Burke is brought in
one year left on his deal, but not much to pick from that team anyway
So maybe. Does he have a decent season so far? - deadpoulet
Not really... he's an average player at best now! He did get into a scrap with Miles Wood in practice this year though, has to count for something? He's extremely consistent in that department

yeah, I know Seattle could use names, but Fleury was a leader for Vegas when he came in. And he was pretty good.

As I said I think it's all moot either way. I anticipate they both make the playoffs and have a decent run. But yes it's mainly on Price for now

I am more interested in talking about his ex Lindsay Vonn than him lol
