We were mostly Cab drinkers, but my wife started getting bad headaches.

She is convinced that she can avoid the headaches by drinking wine made from thin-skinned grapes.

I'm convinced it's psychosomatic, but I'm also convinced there's no point in me arguing.

See you in the Pinot Noir, Beaujolais and Grenache aisle of the LCBO.

It would also require forethought and planning, something of which our federal government has proven to be incapable.

Hey, I know! Maybe we can get Trudeau's family a cushy 6-figure job with the NHL. That would change their tune immediately.

the official fan organization should be able to organize bus/trains from downtown Toronto, travel directly to the HSBC center... no where else - return from there.

should be doable

I just read the Athletic's article on Mickey Callaway, and I'm struck by one thought:

Has sending an unsolicited d!ck pic ever worked at wooing a woman?

I'm guessing "no, never, not ever."

Darren McGavin.

I loved him as Carl Kolchak.

He was also in the Natural, and about a zillion other things.

I get a headache before I finish a glass of anything. The only time I didn’t was in Italy.

Now I have a headache almost every morning

suggest you get hold of the original "Man from Uncle" series, and "Get Smart"... which are from the 60s... either the restoration of those is better or they were just better than the crap produced in the 70s specifically for TV.

wine, wine, water, wine, wine, water, ...

Or take an anti-histamine before drinking wine.

For a single glass? I stopped drinking. Maybe will try it if having a glass if put for dinner or something but I literally get a headache before finishing a glass.

I may have bigger headache issues anyway. Had MRI - nothing (not that there’s nothing in there but, you know). Will try neck X-ray. I have headaches 20 days a month

You want a headache, try quitting caffeine cold turkey after years of mad dog usage. The withdrawal is (frank)ed up.

Histamines and/or tannins seem to be prevailing theories for red wine headaches.

Frankly, I think the truth may lay more in just how dehydrated one is before they start drinking. An empty stomach probably isn't a good thing either.

Who the hell knows though? I'm convinced certain beers (IPAs) cause me headaches while others don't (sours). Probably more to do with dehydration -- I keep telling myself to drink a glass of water between beers, but that sounds like too much work. Tomorrow Me can suffer for Today Me's laziness.

Oh poopty ...ya my old doctor taught me years ago that hydrating helps but RWH the histamine in wine constricting your blood vessels (or something like that). Take a non-drowsy claratin before drinking and most will be good.

Sounds like you could have developed an allergy.*

No, you could fly there, and come home and pay your 3000+ dollars to stay in a poopty hotel eating poopty food and that is if you can even get a room in one of these poopty hotels.

I suppose that's fine, I just saw the latest vaccination plan and my demographic will be last in line anyway.

I blew up my elbow years ago - surgery, etc... I stopped taking the Percocets after a couple days bc I knew they suck to ween off of. Day 3 or 4 they told me no coffee for two weeks to help with the healing. By Day 6 I was back on Perc's bc the (frank)ing withdrawal from coffee was so terrible. it was so much worse then the Percs.

One time brewed my own wine in a bucket, and I siphoned some off to drink before the final filtering process. By 'some', I mean enough to get totalled. I'd brewed beer before, and I didn't see the harm in drinking it on the yeast. That reduces hangovers with beers, because the yeast replaces b vitamins lost in metabolizing alcohol.

Anyway, that went badly awry and I felt like I had radiation poisoning the next day.

It's really bad. I had to quit recently for blood pressure and sleep and general junkie enslavement to the bean. Migraine for a week, crazy cramping leg pain, it was bad. I quit smoking and nothing is as bad as that, but caffeine withdrawal is still no (frank)ing joke.
