Getting back to hockey for a second...
Is it just me or has Rust reached a never level this year? At least to my eyes his the way he moves with the puck has been incredibly impressive. - Rinosaur
Early choice for Pens MVP this year. Whatever line he's been on has performed. Not enough Rust to go around. The best thing about him is that even if he's not scoring you rarely questions his work ethic and hustle. |

He looks like he picked up right where he left off last year. Pleasantly surprised and a late bloomer I guess. - 10inchTerror
I'd say the same. Expected him to take a step back but Rust has been able to maintain what he did last year. |

Nice!
Do you mean kind of guitar? or genres?
I have 14 guitars. The main electric I use is a 2001 American Deluxe (Matt)Strat deluxe haha with a single, single, humbucker pickup config and in close 2nd a 1968 Tele dad passed down to me. I love the humbucker in the bridge because I taught myself with a lot of heavy metal in my teens and early 20's and its still in my blood from time to time. For acoustic I mainly play my Larrivee that I bought from the 5k I earned winning an open mic competition here in the city like 15 years ago. Larrivee is a Canadian company, Jean Larrivee is a world renowned luthier, and they have a factory in British Columbia and one in California that does the satin finished products. Mine was made in California. Its really nice. I also studied classical a bit in my late teens, so I have a nice classical made by one of Larrivees sister companies and that's always just sitting around upstairs away from music room so it gets a lot of attention. Usually plucking on it while watching Pens games.
I play all styles of poop and I very rarely use a pick for electric or acoustic.
How about you? what's your main squeeze(s)?
You Yanks make the best guitars, hands down hahaha and its not even close. - MattStrat
I, too, have 14. My wife and daughter got me an American Strat with the same config as yours. I have gone through many over my years. swapped out, traded, even *sigh* pawned. But my collection makes me happy. I need a 12 string acoustic to round it out. I have a few Washburns, a Takamine, an Ibanez, a Gibson, and several Fenders. I play across generes, but prefer some drop D stuff. What does your gear consist of? I used to play out of a Randall half stack and Line 6 POD XT Live, but now I have 3 different setups: 1964 Music Man 12" tweed, a 12" VOX with processor, and a 10" Line 6 Spider.

Yea we knew that was coming haha. That pass was pretty atrocious. Doesn't really matter though because our 4th line still blows |

Well, I once had a Gibson SG. That was my baby and got stolen in college. I sold a few of my guitars right before I moved. I had a Gretch semi-hollow body that I sold. Right now I'm rockin an Epiphone Les Paul and Martin acoustic.
I play all kinds of styles. I was in metal bands in college, but I'm really more of a hard rock/classic rock guy now. I play a bit of blues and classical.
The Yanks do make the best, but I'll tell you, if my Les Paul didn't have an Epiphone logo on it you'd never know. They're half the price and so similar in sound and feel. I also just an Orangewood acoustic. Very affordable solid quality guitars. Pretty too. - Rinosaur
Unfortunately, I play golf with guys in their 20's who consider Nirvana to be classic rock...

Kunitz 2.0 - stackthepads
I don't think I ever really appreciated how good Kunitz was. Looking back on Sid's 1000 GP highlights he's such a part of Sid's game over the years. Perfect compliment to Sid. |

Marino dropped to the 3rd pairing with Pettersson. Coaching are taking notes of his early struggles. We should be fine. |

Rust at this point looks like the player I watched every night his senior season at Notre Dame against Hockey East NCAA competition. Pretty incredible that he’s been able to hit that level against NHL competition. My call when I used to talk about rust on here when he was still a prospect in college is that he plays like Chris Kunitz but realistically he’ll be Craig Adams in the NHL. In the story I wrote on him for my college job I actually had a paragraph or two making the Kunitz comp, but my editor (who was one of my best friends) took it out because he said it was irrelevant to Notre Dame hockey. I still rag on him for it and he always responds that I’m lucky because if he had known that rust was gonna end up the way he did, he would have claimed the story for himself. |

Nice.
I have a fair bit of experience Epis, they're pretty good value for the price. Just like their big bros, Gibson, there's different levels of quality amongst them.
