Then didn't deserve the fate they got yesterday, and they didn't earn the result they got tonight except for Subban. They were in both games for every second though. 1-0-1 in the first two games, if they can steal another point Sunday, it will be a really successful showing against an elite team.

Amazing how when they concentrate on taking away Stamkos from the PP shot it helps their PK, how many times did Murphy get in the lane and the forwards concentrated on not allowing a juicy 1 timer pass to him?

Wonder if it works like workman's comp? What is it like 60% of your paycheck
- BetweenTheDots

If it’s disability insurance, and the player pays the premiums, it’s non-taxable income, so the benefit is usually 65% of normal gross income.

But i wonder if the beneficiary is the club, and the club pays the player his full salary. That would all be part of the CBA.

Zadorov has played decent lately, I know he gets a lot of hate here but I’ll take his game right now.
- Angotti

Would like see him lay some good hits on players too.

That's 120 minutes you played the SC champs even, and the SC champs brought it in the 2nd game. Have to imagine this is a true confidence builder for this team. Beginning to believe this is at least the 4th best team in this division

Agreed.....Yet Colliton staples him to the bench 3 on 3. Janmark and Suter rarely see OT time either. I'd like to see these kids in OT a little too. Give them the experience. I also don't think that Ian Mitchell played in overtime either ?
- Hawkytalk

Janmark takes quite a few shifts in OT when Kane and Debrincat are resting

Barring a long losing streak, who's going to catch them? 6 up on the BJ's and the rest of the division is far behind. No Cup on the horizon but gotta enjoy this minimal talent work hard team that brings it most nights.

Goaltending wins games I tell ya.

Would that indicate that the coaches are learning and adjusting game-to-game?

Who the living (frank) gave Subban the 3rd star? I'm not sure how they do it now, but in years past one of the media members covering the game awarded the three stars. Whoever it was tonight deserves his press pass and credential shoved up his ass. The jagoff of the decade in only the first year. Just awful. Good thing the three stars don't mean much. Someone needs to go rattle a cage.

This is absolutely spot on. Subban’s efforts trumped everything else any Hawks’ player did tonight.

Yea, to me it does, i think there is some luck involved but 8-0, and when i see forwards and dman playing better or more aware, perfect example is how Laine hurt us on the PP and the Hawks made an adjustment which also helped vs Stamkos, i have to say JC and staff might now what they are doing

Hawks coaches are too dumb for that. It is random luck.

Doubt if Seabs walks away from the 15.5M due to him in the last 3 years of his contract
- boilermaker100

Do you think we could crowdfund the 15.5 to pay him to retire? Love him. Don’t get me wrong. He’s one of my faves, but that cap space with this team (and once Toews and the others return) could elevate us to the next level IF used properly.

Didn't realize Seabrook had 3 GWGs in the playoffs and they were all in OT, impressive

You know, you just might be able to if you asked all Hawks fans to donate $5 each. Have to strike while the iron is hot and sentiment is high.
