Might be. When he's able to, I want him to gain the experience of taking draws. My point about making him a winger was more tongue in cheek than anything else, but if he's going to be a top 6 center, he needs to be taking faceoffs.

Agreed 100%. He needs to figure that part out.

whoa, check this out, Barry Beck threatening JD over Pavelich death

In a blistering, 946-word Facebook post, a heartbroken Beck blasted team president John Davidson, also a former teammate, for not returning an email asking the Rangers to “publicaly (sic) show their support for Mark by just saying one of their own former players was sick and we wish him well.”

But The Post learned Davidson had been in constant contact with former Rangers netminder Glen Healy of the NHL alumni association regarding Pavelich. In the Facebook post, Beck credited Healy and the alumni association for becoming “involved” with Pavelich.

“Well JD did not even return my email. I guess he was too [f–king] busy,” wrote Beck, a Rangers defenseman from 1979-86. “He should have picked up the phone and called me. That would have been the right thing to do as we were teammates and he certainly would have my back right?

“You’re on your throne now John but if our paths ever cross you better be ready. Or maybe just turn your back again.”

- TPC

Yeah, I used to do that. Or check a game final that doesn't look good and end up shutting it off.

I know Mark had a lot of problems and concussions were mentioned in the past. I cannot speak on what team Team USA or the Rangers did or did not do. It's really sad and I'm not sure what could have been done?

Seriously though, there's a good chance:

A: He never saw the email.
B: If he did, what can he do about it now? Rangers personnel/ownership has changed over completely since when they played. Granted he could've at least called him to tell him he couldn't do anything.

Beck is obviously grieving but is he insane?

Played well, got 2 assists, and still only got 9 minutes of ice time. Makes zero sense.

Who is he supposed to play over? Buch or Kakko? Plus I think he was hurt or something for a little bit during the game

Problem with Chytil is he needs a face off “shadow”. Any line he’s on needs a Rooney or Blackwell that can take draws for him. It’s prohibiting his development as a C, imo. Either let him take face offs and lose or make him a winger for the season.

But you have to love the way he’s played so far this year. Looks legit every shift.

- Bean_Dip

Chytil was out with a broken hand. That is why he’s not taking draws. He’ll be back to his old 41% self again soon!

I'm the opposite. I look at it as a way to skip a loss or look at long sections of a win. I usually check the score if I can't watch. Me watching it without prior knowledge isn't gonna influence what happened.
- JRR1285

I rarely get the chance to watch live. I do everything I can to avoid knowing what happened. That’s the case if I’m not around here during play. But, knowing or not I don’t miss a second.

Seriously though, the fact that none of those goalies back then ever got killed is miraculous!
Think about taking a slapshot to the chest wearing that bullpoop gear.
