I’m a fan of Blackwell (and his contract) but wonder if he could be a deadline deal if the Rangers are offered the right price. If he’s playing this well and will be potentially scratched, maybe that’s a move that makes sense. Something’s gotta give eventually with all these wingers, why not sell high on the guy?

He’s the type of player who’s value is much higher playing for us than the return he would net. What could he get us, a 4th?

I agree with you, his value at that contract is amazing. Just have to figure something has to give soon with all these wingers and Kravtsov and Panarin to add to it. Buch always seems like the easiest option, but then his game goes to another level. Maybe PDG since he’s a free agent after the season, but we can’t have a 4th line of skilled wingers either. Will be very interesting to see the decisions management makes between now and next season.
