Great team win last night! Its ironic because even though the Flyers got down 3-0 within the first 4 minutes, I thought they played their most complete game of the season. After that timeout the Flyers dominated the rest of the way, shutting down the Penguins in the neutral zone and skating the best I have seen them skate. When they did make a mistake, Moose was there to bail them out, especially in the 3rd on Malkin. I also thought NAK was once again in the middle of things last night, he may not be the most talented player on the team, but I wouldn't sit him out if I had the choice. I also want to give a big shout out to Nolan Patrick. I thought last night was the best game he has played all season. I know he didn't show up on the stat sheet, but he skated better than I have seen him skate and made his presence known on just about every shift he had. If he continues to play like this, good things will come for him and the team!

Haven't we gone through this already? Why do we need to rehash this? Bill has already answered this question regarding Giroux's leadership style. I think we should let this one go. You can think what you like about Giroux, but the guy has 17 points in 18 games this season, playing on secondary lines and switching often between center and wing. Numbers don't lie!

Couturier and Elliott have brought excellent efforts every game they have played. Giroux is definitely becoming more of a factor and Lindblom and NAK played well with him last night. Hope AV leaves them together for a couple games to see what they have.
People are paging Kevin Hayes, I am going to Page Jake. IMO this team need much more from him. Hopefully he will start by making impact Saturday.
Chuck I am hoping you are truly shopping for a D man, earn your money, make it happen, please replace Niskanen as this team wont compete deep in the playoffs if you don't

Spot on. The guy has been great his entire career here. Plus I don’t think anybody in the comment section has played in the NHL for a good or a bad captain to know the difference.

Would prefer they play better from the beginning but that is a good win. They might need to leave Giroux as the third line center if he continues to get production out of NAK and Lindblom.

Hayes and TK need to figure it out.

I need to see more from Jake and Hayes. I get concerned when after a game I say to myself, was insert name of core player even playing tonight or were they a healthy scratch? Tk played pretty well last night but he’s had many games where he was invisible too.

Looked like a check up high.

It was the play when Myers was carrying the puck into the Pens zone and took a shot from near the circle. Puck was deflected out of play and was long gone when Angello (sp?) lit him up from the blind side. Should have at least been a penalty!

Somehow I knew this was going to be brought up despite the win. While Hayes deserves criticism for his lack of production for much of season of late, please, just give it a rest until the next game, should it be warranted. It definitely wasn't warranted tonight, as far as I'm concerned. There was nothing wrong with his effort at all in this one. Of course it would be nice to put points on the board, but he along with TK and Laughton gave the Pens fits all night. If they keep it up he and TK are bound to get off the schneid real soon.
- Bendecko

Ahhh gonna have to disagree, Laughton and TK were much better and Hayes still at times was sleep walking. He really has been in a funk for 10+ games now. It’s extremely concerning

I thought it was also late. He had released The puck for a bit then a blind side hit up high.

He could have had at least two goals. Need that effort all the time and keep shooting kid.

It was very late and that DBAG Bob Errey was saying it was a great hit.
God, I can't stand listening to that guy. You would think even Pens fans can see this guy is on the same level as Jack Edwards.

Yeah I had to watch the last two games with them. He’s terrible. I’d be asking the league to look at that one especially if he’s concussed. Once the player lets she shot go you have to let up. You’re not separating him from the puck any more.

Agreed. He still did not finish on a few prime chances. So I like the progress but he needs to put the puck in the net.

I did have fun watching Jake skate laps around the Penguins zone, no shots generated though.

Myers worries me as he has had several injuries over the years. Yes all different just saying.

Tk with a few crossbars. Getting close.

NAK needs to stay in the lineup. Had some great hits and that feed to g was nice. Glad g pointed out he called for that one puck.

Patty with some good physicality. Let’s get that confidence up. He seemed to have a smirk after Friedman leveled himself. Yes he is smaller but still.

For other prospects. How long until tanner or sandin may fill in for bunny. Yes bunny is in good position usually. But beside that just not sure about him besides a fill in.

For wisdom does this year I. The ahl burn a year o fa his entry lvl?

Coots. Coots coots.

Scott seemed to turn in on a little last night.

Especially after the watching the first 5 minutes. Rivalry match. This seems to happen with the pens. If a team scores quick and early doesn’t mean the game is over. Glad we wore the correct shoes.

I wasn't able to catch any of the game. Would someone mind posting what the general even strength lines were? Thanks
