Anyone seen Dom Luszczyszyn's numbers for playoff probabilities this morning?

Toronto Maple Leafs:

100% to make the playoffs. OK, I can agree with this.

76% to make it to round 2. That seems a little high - 3 in 4? But OK.

57% to make it to round 3. If I'm mathing correctly, that's making us heavy, heavy favourites to win round 2. Like, 75% chance.

37% chance to make it to the Finals. 65% to win round 3? Really?

21% chance to win the Stanley Cup. Just take a moment to look at that, breathe it in. Mmmmmmmmm. 57% chance of winning final round.

Don't bother trying to argue these numbers, because Dom uses numbers and spreadsheets and logarithms and math and stuff.

As of now, yes the leafs should have the best chance of winning round one 1 easily and potentially round two as both rounds are against division rivals which the leafs have played well against. Outside of the jets as we've only played them once.
Anything beyond that seems like nonsense to predict

Here's hoping it backfires and Kuch is 50lbs. overweight and skills have atrophied.

yep pretty much.

I think they're probably 60% to 70% to win the division. In my estimation. I think they're the overwhelming favourites.

Past that, I suspect they're underdogs against any team they fact. Teams like Tampa, the Avs, and Vegas, I think they'll have to face at least one, and my money is not on the leafs in those series.
