- Eklund

Yes, no doubt.
Enough is enough.
I was infected already and did not even know I was sick and I am 64.
Never was scared it and not going to.

Why is that? Because it goes against what your TV tells you?

150,000 people in the USA die from poverty each year.

What will it be the year after?
The year after that?

You have no actual intelligent response cause your masters haven't given you the answers.

Mental health and lockdowns

I could show you 100 links proving lockdowns are more harmful than good and you would still call me an idiot because you don't know how to process the information because it didn't come from CNN.

- sabresfan69

I can show you thousands upon thousands of links saying covid is more harmful than good.

Of course it is not good and harmful, but it is not the only thing which is harmful.

Zero chance I would go to even a half filled arena. I've known too may who have passed from Covid.. I can wait it out.. I dont go much even without pandemic so not a big deal for me.

I honestly don't know I probably should though Did you lose your smell and taste? To me that was the worst thing
- Vukota

no, I didn't lost taste or smell. I had a fever for a few hours and coughed a couple of times.

Nope. Apparently, testosterone (or ignorance) makes you immune to COVID considering some of the comments on here. However, if you want to attend (and it is opened up) go for it! It is your right. For me, I 'll wait my turn for a stab (or two) so I have the opportunity to watch live hockey next year.

With respect sir I had Covid in January and while I was sick it wasn't as horrible an experience as it has been portrayed. That's not to say that its no problem, especially if you are older. But all the fear-mongering has scared people into thinking Covid is a death sentence, and it's not.

Sadly, I wore a mask for nine months, and frankly did not go a lot of places because wearing a mask does not help stop the virus and I wasn't in the mood to get into fights with everyone so scared of government and the virus to they would willing give up their freedom over it. And I still got Covid anyway because it's a virus, and unless you can wear an N-35 mask with replaceable filters every day you are getting almost no protection from it.

So yes, even in the height of Covid season I would have gone to a game even if the arena was sold out.

Now to the important stuff. I can't believe the CBJ has Savard on the block and isn't trying to resign him. It seems obvious by now that the CBJ are selling and will continue to sell until we have an Ottawa-like roster. If I could start a Go Fund Me page for the CBJ I would, since the current ownership can't afford to keep the team or pay to the cap limit and nobody is willing to buy it or become a co-owner.

Sad to see.

There are mountains of scientific evidence that disprove your claims about masks not being effective

Personally, I wouldn’t go as I don’t want to risk myself or others to possible injury or death.

That said, I am all for people going out and risking themselves to potential illness or death. If someone wants to be responsible for themselves, and would say, sign a waiver stating they understand that partaking in such an activity could result in injury or death, then let them.

Watching hockey live falls so far down the list of things I would risk illness, injury or death to do. And that I would be asked to pay a premium price to risk my life? Hardly

- mungozen

What will a waiver do when you carry that shyte home to loved ones?
I don't agree with lock downs but mass gatherings shouldn't happen.

The first day I had a borderline fever. Second day I lost my taste and smell and was just really tired for a week. Very slight cough near the end and that was it. Like I said earlier my taste still comes and goes but I read that can last for a couple of weeks after

Eklund: Would you attend a game in a full arena? Plus Savard Rumors. Buzz@1
- Eklund

No. I’m a family physician. In Canada. Have had my first dose of Pfizer vaccine and am a leafs season ticket holder.
No chance I’d go in person until he’d immunity is achieved and that won’t be for a while. The variants spreading now and hockey being an indoor activity, it is medically foolish to attend for a while yet.

Hell Yes. Get me back into the Coliseum with a packed building up to the rafters. I want to be high fiving and hugging my fellow fans with each playoff goal. Enough already

Anyone that describes David Savard as a "two-way" defenseman should never be allowed any meaningful position in hockey. Jesus Christ dude

i'm sure this message board won't get out of hand at all.

bring on the "anti mask", "COVID is a hoax" crowd.....

- sensarmy_11

Or bring on the "Wear 5 masks at all times crowd" or the "If you attend a game or go outside your going to die crowd" Both the anti covid and covid-bro groups are more annoying then the Political crowds. Can we go back to the 90's

I see there is a lot of selfish fans here....so you are going to the game, getting tested first and then quarantine afterwards.....OR.....are you simply a selfish loser and go and enjoy the game and then maybe take the virus and give it to your parents or grandparents as a show of your caring and love for them......too many friggen idiots on this planet....
- Leafcup

These types of folks who post the above are the worst type of people. "Don't feel the same as me, then your a selfish idiot". Maybe some folks are vaccinated already, maybe some folks are not worried about covid and want to move on with their lives. Get over it, not everyone needs to be like you

I’m glad you got through your illness well. I hope ithersnyou exposes were as lucky.
Your mask info is not correct.
The studies clearly show they are quite effective. N-95 are best (not N-35). I do have expertise in this as a front line physician.
Again. I’m glad you’re well. There is no proof yet that you can’t pick up one of the new variants and pass it on to others who may not do well.
So please stay well yourself and do take precautions to protect others. It really isn’t hard to do.
Treat others as you would have them treat an elderly relative you would like to keep alive and we will all get through this.
The more precautions we take, the faster we get to when things are more ‘normal’ again and we can enjoy activities like hockey together once again.

As to the it is not a death sentence part. It certainly is for way, way too many. Could have been hundreds of thousands less with fairly simple precautions.

Don't waste your time, it didn't kill them, so who cares about the 1 million plus that it has killed or even the many more that it will kill.

EK should know better than to blog about this, Is he not supposed to be a full grown adult?
Luckily the powers that be are not going to open up the arena's.

I probably can't as I won't have a COVID passport. I get very sick if I take these vaccines.
