One more true story

Non-covid related deaths have gone up. Doctor care has been delayed, cancer patients not getting care and surgeries also postponed.

Those are deaths from lockdowns. The statistics are here.
https://www.city-journal....cost-of-lockdown-policies

But ya, I am an idiot because I can see 360 degrees all sides of the problem.

- sabresfan69

Right, but the article states the problem is hospital system did not effectively deal with Covid cases and other health issues at the same time at the height of the first wave (as resources were inadequate). And surely there is some real merit to that. I know people who died from Covid and people who died from having (cancer) treatments postponed.

But the article doesn't really advocate for removing restrictions or that cure is worse then the disease. It's just points out that we need to do a better job mitigating collateral damage.

WHO-WHO doctor calls on world leaders to use other control methods than lockdowns

Now you will go away angry and confused because you don't understand why some left wing media is reporting different. You will need to regroup and come up with a new way of coping.

Enjoy your day.

You should get all sides of what is happening.

I am with you. To be honest, you come across as harsh, but you're right.

And when people can't debate anymore, that's when they resort to personal attacks.

It is fairly obvious to anyone with half a brain that the 'cure' (lockdowns) has been far worse than the disease.

The entire justification for lockdowns was to keep hospital space available. The ridiculous part is that hospitals, at least in Ontario, have been at or over capacity for the last DECADE. And they did f**k all to add much more space over the past year, even though there was a 'pandemic' going on.

Now there are barely anyone in the hospitals, so they are turning towards 'cases' as a reason to lock down. The goalposts keep moving, and most people's bulls**t meters are going off.

I am wondering if the great reset was to put small businesses out of business while Walmart and Home Depot stay open and get all the money.

Lockdowns were a grave mistake that will impact millions and millions including deaths.

After getting covid and only dealing with minor symptoms, it has me thinking whether I should get the vaccine or not. I honestly don't know what to do at this point. It ran through my whole family including my 80 yr old pops and we all pretty much had the same minor symptoms.
- Vukota

Weird question....what's your blood type? I am an O blood type and had barely any symptoms when I had it. I'm hearing people with O are least affected. Oh, and I've had antibodies for 10 months for those saying that it doesn't last.

Well if you believe the great reset is the plan, then yes, that's exactly what the point was.

And it's called fascism - Gov't, media and big corporations in bed together.

Likely an unpopular opinion, but the people calling Trump the fascist are the fascists themselves. Oldest play in the book. Accuse your enemy what you are, yourself.

On a side note, it didn't take long for the fascists to start bombing the middle east again. Sooo predictable.

A full house? Hell no. I can’t depend on those around me to be responsible at this point. It’s too early even though I’m dying to get to a game.

Yes, a year is waaaaaaay to early

Lets hold out until every business fails and everyone defaults on their mortgage. Only then should we allow people to go watch hockey games

Personally, I wouldn’t go as I don’t want to risk myself or others to possible injury or death.

That said, I am all for people going out and risking themselves to potential illness or death. If someone wants to be responsible for themselves, and would say, sign a waiver stating they understand that partaking in such an activity could result in injury or death, then let them.

Watching hockey live falls so far down the list of things I would risk illness, injury or death to do. And that I would be asked to pay a premium price to risk my life? Hardly
