I don’t have any actual information to back this up, so keep in mind that it is just a guess. Maybe a positive rapid test puts a guy on the protocol list until he has 2-3 negative PCR tests. Rapid tests tend to have more false positives.

I thought a few weeks ago, the league switch to include rapid tests on game day.

anyone know what Covid test the NHL uses? the antibody test can yield false positives i think. the PCR test would rarely if ever yield false positives

All I know is they use some form of rapid testing to get results same day. The more reliable tests like the ones the public is using takes days to get back which doesnt work well with how the NHL wants things done.

As far as I understand, everyone gets tested every day and they get the results back within hours instead of days

It’s refreshing when I just watched hockey central which should really be called leafs central or what streets should the Leafs sc parade follow. 5 mins of highlights And comments about how great they played last Night. Show the bruins and wash highlights and you’ll see winning playoff hockey you idiots.
