Better be Howden and PDG and then probably Gauthier, or Lemieux. Gauthier has to play like he did the other night to stay in. Blackwell and Rooney aren’t coming out imo

also the guys that stay in the lineup get pushed down the lineup to make room for Panain and Kakko, so even in Gauthier stays in, his minutes get reduced no matter what

if everybody is playing, Gauthier is a 4th liner

Based on the Ranger's history of letting players go or trading them. I believe it will happen. You don't have to tell me "I told you so" at all, cause I believe you.

Also, looking at the line up, as I stated before, the Rangers have too many top 6 potential prospects/players. Blackwell is definitely moved to the 3rd line. But Panarin, Kakko, Kravtsov, Kreider, Buch, Laf, Zib, Strome (only cause we have NO ONE else), Chytil (he should be Top 6). There are too many in the cupboard.

Meaning. Trade!!!

the thing is Blackwell is such a valuable commodity for the Rangers at 700K next year

to have a guy that cheap that can play on any line is such a luxury, especially when all these young guys still have the bonuses in their cap hits

I am in the camp of keep Blackwell and possibly Rooney. Those types of players are what get teams through playoffs series.
