What could make Kreider finally take that next step is to develop the thing that separates the best players from the rest... its amnesia. He has to play hard every shift and immediately forget about the shift he just finished. Kreider has had a habit of defeating himself mentally and thats when he starts disappearing. |

Was thinking about Kreider's recent play while watching the hatty. Is he someone that makes himself a support player when better talent is on the team and is maybe a "reluctant hero" when he has to step up when they go down?
So glad Quinn finally benched Zib, we all know he deserved it. |

Thats a problem though, he has a skill set that is quite vital when used properly. Those screens, dirty goals are vital and that can be applied universally regardless of what side of the ice hes on. He shouldnt care that hes not the best player on the team, the only thing he needs to worry about is being a nuisance, using his speed, creating turnovers and getting to the front of the net. Hes not a finesse player, so it doesnt matter if hes on the LW or RW to do all that. He shouldnt feel demoralized when hes getting flipped around, if anything he should be proud that the coach is constantly trying to utilize him every which way possible because the type of player he is lends to it. |

Watching his pressers he says all the right things a Captain would say. Agree with everything you've said. He doesn't seem like he has to be the best player out there. Maybe he has gone back to his core game, going hard to the net, etc. Don't know where the disconnect is. Hoping he has found his game again and we are getting the player we banked on, not the Kreider spending too much time lounging at TPC's apartment. |

Looking at the replay, the minute prior McLeod collides with Shesty in the crease to give them the PP. when Shesty goes down his right leg gets caught under him a bit, I wonder if he tweaked it then and then blew it up a minute later on the save. |
