And that's not even close to their worse deal.
Get this, they are paying 11.5 million for their 4th line LOL (Eriksson, Beagle, Virtanen). Dubas could get a better 4th line for 8-8.5 less.
Brandon Sutter makes 4.4. Beagle makes 3 million. Roberto Luongo makes over 3 million on their cap (Seriously).
What a disaster. Worst of all, no elite talent is signed. Even Boeser's deal ends after next season. they could only afford 3 years for him.
I had Canuck fans point out 4 players 40 million for the Leafs and laugh.
It appears unless a players' deal starts with a 10 infront of it no one pays attention or thinks it's bad. - RogerRoeper
A lot of poop comes off the books in the next two years, though.
Right when Rielly wants a new contract.
Look, it may not be a rational fear, but it's still one that will be with me until he puts his signature on a new contract. |

It's simple, you take the money you were paying Phil, and give it to Rielly |

Staal hasn't looked too good this season. But maybe it's the Buffalo curse. No player looks good playing for that team. Dahlin looks completely defeated. |

That is too far away to care about.
We'll know what we have in Lil, Sandin, Robertson, Amirov by then. |

I haven't been watching him.
The stats show he is doing pretty well considering its Buffalo.
I am just hoping for a Kerfoot upgrade and he is the guy I see as being an upgrade. I think a big bodied C is important on that 3rd line. |

Staal has 3 goals, 5 assists in 20 games. He'd certainly do better in Toronto. I'm just not sure if he's an upgrade on Kerfoot at this stage of his career. |

It's hard to tell on Buffalo. Thats' great stats on that team it seems. I do like him myself as a 3rd line C. |

I think she would make a great spokesperson for Rogers or Bell - doing a lot of behind the scenes stuff in Toronto - stuff that the public doesn't ever really see, but that she makes millions of dollars in salary for. - Atomic Wedgie

Kerfoot line keeps getting shelled shots wise when he plays C. Kerfoot at LW=Staal at C in terms of results but Staal at C>>>Kerfoot at C |

ahh he takes Boyds spot.
I do like him though, If he can beat out a rental 3C coming in and play on that 3rd line instead then great...1.25M at 3C would be great next year. |

It’s early, so far so good but we’ll see how he looks the next 10.
I like that line, it’s getting more ice every game.

What worries me is he seems to lose motivation and goes into a shell for 15-20 games |

There has to be problems in that room or the coach or something.
They don't have a cup-contending roster, but they are way underperforming. When a kid like Dahlin is not progressing, you have to think something's up there.

So who sits when Simmonds comes back? If the ZIP/HEM line keeps it up Engvall is staying. |

I'm guessing we will be dealing with another injury by then.
Because Leafs. |
