Buzztron would say the Leafs will win the President's trophy but will miss the playoffs by 1 point while the Red Wings make it.

Buzztron would say the Leafs will go 14-2 in the remaining remaining 11 games.

- Symba007

I guess that will be tough for the Habs fans to watch...

Around 1995 or 1996, I had EA NHL for the computer (I had to spend $220 to up my computer from 4 megs of RAM to 8).

I went 82-0, and Gilmour still didn't break Gretzky's points record.

🤣 I loved that game back then. You always knew the sweet spot on the ice where you could score from like 99/100 times. I used to piss off my buddies with Fedorov 1 timers in the slot. Even when they were ready for it I still scored. 🤣

Philly makes the playoffs and Carolina misses while Anaheim plays 58 games.

in your opinion what's going on in Dallas... they seem to have a strong roster on paper... what gives?
- BorjeFan4Ever

Seguin hasn’t played this year.

Tyler Seguin is dead and they can't score to save their lives.

Stars have a big problem. They have a ton of aging, regressing players, including 2 9+ per forwards.

You could not be more wrong.

There are 3 major improvements this year over last

1) The younger stars are a year older
2) The team seems a lot deeper 3rd and 4th lines
3) They seem to have bought into a system. This is the biggest change, some of it is maturity, but I think Keefe needs to be given a lot of credit for this.

We dont even have Simmonds right now in the line up and they haven't missed a beat. He should help with the PP.

Dallas won't miss the playoffs. They are playing like garbage right now, but I think they'll get it together. They have a bunch of games in hand, Chicago is going to fall to Earth when they stop playing Detroit and Columbus all the time, and Dallas still has a metric crap-ton of games against Detroit, Columbus, Nashville, Chicago (24 games remaining), and 15 remaining against Tampa, Carolina and Florida.
- Monkeypunk

Have you seen their play and how touch their schedule is given they were the last team to start playing this year? Even if you play weaker teams, they will be exhausted with no breaks. They are also old and injured.

This is the Leafs best D since 93'. Bogio and Dermott are REALLY good 3rd pair Ds. Better than on many "Contenders". Great depth.

Old, injured, awful schedule given COVID and Texas weather issues.

I think Max watches them more than I do. I think they may be due for a rebound here - they just played two decent games against Tampa, and Tampa crushed them 5-0 and 2-0, but they outplayed the Lightning; they just came out on the wrong side of things. I think their offense just isn't as dynamic as they need it to be without Seguin and Radulov.

I think Seguin being out isn't helping, but Radulov's absence may be hurting them more than thought. They were 5-2-1 with him (albeit against weaker competition), and are 1-5-3 without him.

They probably miss Bishop most - Khudobin has done a good job when he's been on, but he's inconsistent.

Seguin and Bishop are both due to return sometime around the start of April, so they maybe get in about 20 games.

Is Bishop a worthwhile goalie to try to get in the off season?

sounds like they could use an infusion of "Willy Styles"

Nylander Sandin and Kerfoot

Miro Heiskanen and Hintz

To be fair to the media, none of the guys I listen to thought they wouldnt be much after the players left. Maybe not this bad but likely to miss.

Calgary is the odd team to me.

- Aaron_85

I think Calgary has under preformed so far, and also their starting goalie being hurt doesn't help them.

I think they'll turn it around.

I have been saying this over the last few days as well. Been watching the team since '77 and not seen them as defensively sound in their own end on a consistent basis; ever. Hope that doesn't end up reverse jinxing poop.

Weren’t you slagging me for liking the 🦒 or was that Joel. 🤣
- Garnie

I'm not the biggest 🦒 fan out there but I don't recall slagging anyone off for liking him. I've just been underwhelmed with his development until recently.

He has virtually no offensive game to speak of but he's been a stalwart defensive type with speed. The MEH HEM line has made me a (cautiously optimistic) beleafer that we have a functional checking line. Soup seems to have been getting more puck luck and has been blazing on the PK creating chances.

Still think this team needs more grit and grind.

Speaking of which: Zach Hyman is the epitome of grind with a distinct lack of petulance. The way he skated gracefully away from Smith last night after scoring - and taking so much abuse from him all series long - was magnificent!
