How do you know Winnipeg is not a "Contender" and some of these supposed "Contenders look bad. Vegas? Their centres are a joke and they have weak forwards.

A team can be a contender. The idea they gave not "Won rounds" with Coci Ceci as top pair RH D is as garbage an argument as 4 players for 40 million was.

I'd like to see Bertuzzi on the Leafs. He's my favourite Red Wings player but he's being wasted in Detroit. I think his gritty style game would mesh nicely with the Leafs big 4. Bertuzzi is a guy who's game is better suited for playoff hockey when the ice shrinks and the whistles are thrown away. He's kind of like Hyman. Not hockey IQ wise. But more physical. He'll give you everything he has plus he can score the greasy goals. 👍

Look at all these "Contenders". Tampa is the only one at the same level of talent and depth as the Leafs.

It’s fine to talk Cup as they have just as good a shot as just about anybody. The upside of playing in the “Scotia Incredibly Weak North” is that it’s easier to win - being incredibly weak. Any honest assessment of their play right now has to have them as favourites to get to the semifinals and anything can happen from there.

Obviously, there’s a million caveats involved but I don’t think it’s completely unrealistic to at least think about talking about when it might be ok to start thinking about talking about the Cup. Let’s enjoy the moment. Unleash your inner Roger
