I could say the opposite. If Dubas wins the Jack Adams award you'll be crowing about it. But when Lou won it you were so triggered that you likely couldn't even brush your teeth from your hands shaking so much. - gergeswillems

As long as they spend the remainder of the season fine tuning their game. Which, it looks like Keefe is doing. - bixll
Ron Wilson and Randy toaster-man could coach this lineup to a Stanley Cup win, let's not pretend Keefe is the big difference maker here.
Leafs deliberately tanked for Matthews after already drafted Marner (and Rielly). Then the financial strength facilitated the work.
I still think it's not done for one of the richest franchises in league to tank to be able to improve the roster. |

Flagged for being hurtful. I thought this thread had moved past this kind of bullpoop. Or is this someone’s alt? The similarities..... - Canada Cup

I commented a couple of weeks ago about how I liked what Keefe was implementing. A solid game based on defensive structure. Creating offense from the defense. The players have clearly bought in and they'll keep improving because it works. Players see Matthews playing both ways so it's hard for them to not do the same.
But the biggest difference I see with this Leafs team is they don't lose confidence when they're trailing in a game. Or when they outplay a team and aren't rewarded with any goals. They stick to their game for the most part. Play within Keefe's structure and keep chipping away. |

Weren't you one of the ones talking about how bad Dubas (frank)ed this team up preseason?
You said at one point Babcock should have been made GM ffs. 😂 |

So lucky in the first minute.... when Freddie was looking behind him and Matthews cleared the puck out of the crease😔 |

Ron Wilson and Randy could but what was Babcock's excuse?
You are like the people clinging to "Weak Division" argument" suddenly. You thought Dubas was terrible and so was Keefe. |

Watching McDavid last few games, his 200 ft game is not his priority, let's just say. I really like the way Matthews is playing. Hart not to notice. |

The Oilers are the highest scoring team in the league!
Oh wait, they were the highest scoring team in the league until they played the Leafs three times in a row.
Anyone want to guess which team leads the league now? |

He took a position long ago that hiring Keefe was a terrible decision so now he has to perform Olympic level mental gymnastics to convince himself that he's right. We've all seen it here before with numerous topics hockey and non hockey related. Same poop different pile. - BlueBallz
It's interesting because in a lame attempt to knock Keefe, he compliments Dubas, who is also said was terrible and needed to get fired. THe GM put this roster together, which he now claims any coach can win with. |
