Bad news always goes down better with a good news. This way the message this morning is a mix of habs win/Waite is fired. If it's annonced today it's all that's discussed in the media all day.

This all day. With so many people using the "spectrum" for generally poopty behavior, the ruling could set a really, REALLY bad precedent.

I didn't see that one coming at all...i'm curious to hear Bergevin on that one... and I hope Sean Burke is better goalie coach than he was a goalie lol
- Karine Hains

Burke was a solid if unspectacular goalie. early in his career he played on poopty teams in a high-scoring era. but he turned in some pretty solid seasons for the Coyotes later on. you don't last as long as he did in the league without knowing what you're doing. he's the Mike Sillinger of goalies.

I don't think there's a star goalie who's a goalie coach now, the only one I can think of is Tretiak who had goalie camps.

Price's short and vague answers will definitely clarify everything...

it's pretty rare to see stars turn into good coaches in general. Brind'Amour is one that comes to mind but he was never really a star i would say.

he already said "chill out" so he might say it in different wording, or simply tell us to smoke a doobie, since it's legal now

I bet the decision was taken after the bad game in Winnipeg but they didn't want to do it on the road. The timing isn't bad it's after a win so not another distraction while the loss streak is still going on.
- Fredobbface

They showed Bergevin in the press box last night during the game, I thought he looked agitated. That's probably why.

It's a weird timing, but then again this is the kind of stuff that happens in other teams as well, but you just don't hear it. Everything here is really blown out of proportion.

Also, is there another NHL team right now who had the same no.1 goalie for 11 years? Don't think so.

Don't think so neither, maybe Quick is the closest? Also, the Leafs are much better without Andersen; don't think it's a surprise for anybody though...

help with Mike Smith too when he got to Phoenix. Seems like he knows how to teach bigger goalies how to play properly.
