the goalie whisperer/best goalie coach in the league no longer speaks the language of goalie/replaced by Burke as best goalie coach
- mr.peanut

Can you speak in English? Or French?

It's not my fault you cannot write coherently. Is this some kind of thing you have where you're dreaming of Brian Burke whispering "is" in your ear?

You’re all judging the move but when Waite came in HE was the solution. After 7 years maybe there’s nothing more he can brings in, Price have lost confident and Waite might not be able to bring in anything psychological/physical within Price.

I don’t think it’s a bad move. We’ve clear almost everyone that couldn’t bring this good team to the next level and the goalie changes could bring in a spark for Price as well.

It’s a good move and Burke isn’t a bad choice at all.

I don't disagree. Given the change of title as well, from "Goaltending Coach" to "Director of Goaltending" may speak to a change in the system structure of the team management. We all remember Sean Burke as a middling NHL goalie, but he was well respected in his international play, winning 3 gold medals in his career. Let's see how this plays out, and where we go from here.

EDMUNSON.....was huge last night...he played his strongest game as a Hab last night....settled the D big time and was essentially all world during the 4 minute PK last night and the last 5 min of the game when the Habs essentially snuffed out the Sens chances of tying the game.

I bet the decision was taken after the bad game in Winnipeg but they didn't want to do it on the road. The timing isn't bad it's after a win so not another distraction while the loss streak is still going on.

Ain't that the truth. Maybe with Price (presumably) not playing again until Saturday, they wanted to give Burke a few days with Carey on his own? I dunno. Maybe Waite wasn't a fan of getting Carey a sports psychologist to help him... Who knows? Until we hear from Bergy, (and likely after, too...) it's all a guessing game.

well I meant announcing it late at night, literally after a game, but yeah I guess it's a way to avoid further distractions... they'll probably give us barely any details about the firing anyway, saying they were due for a change or something vague like that

curious to hear the details from MB but it'll surely remain cryptic as to the actual reasons they couldn't waite to fire the guy

The team was was underachieving so they fired the coach. The power play wasn't as it should be so they replaced the PP coach. Price's goaltending wasn't up to par so....

Is it me but Price was looking like drunk yesterday... A bit loss here and there... Not crisp... Slow to react...

Did not play as bad as past games but there is something I can't explain...

I understand Price is very calm but the line is thin between calm and lymphatic...

Bad news always goes down better with a good news. This way the message this morning is a mix of habs win/Waite is fired. If it's annonced today it's all that's discussed in the media all day.
