Come back with moose. If he wins and plays well, maybe give him another start Saturday. These games are key with the standings. Pitt takes all three and it’s not good. One of the 5 Good teams in the div will not make it and we could have really put some separation between us and the pens with this series.

Dude it's not Harts fault - It's Ghost standing around watching the game being played and getting to dam fancy. Ghost needs to go and take that bum G too.

Yes, I suggest you watch the highlights from last night's game, that will give you all the data you need to understand what this Flyers team is and is not. Every team makes mistakes, and that is why they have goalies to bail them out. But look at last night's game and you will see that no goalie could have bailed out the Flyers last night.

First goal - horrible mistake by Ghost send Kapanen on a break away
Second goal - Braun drifts too high in the slot leaving Sanheim all alone to defend 3 Penguins
Third goal - Ghost and Provy let not 1 but 2 Penguins get behind them, again in the slot, for an easy tap in goal. Also on this one, ever notice how many Flyers shots from the points don't get through, but shots like this one from the Penguins do?
Fourth goal - the Flyers let up a 4 on 2 with Nolan Patrick back on defense after just closing the score to 3-2, the results an easy tic tac toe goal for Penguins
Fifth goal - TK makes a horrible decision to deke at the blue line when the play is to get the puck deep to get the extra attacker, thus giving up the puck for an easy Pittsburgh goal in an empty net.

Good teams just don't make these kinds and quantity of mistakes!

you seriously are not using just last nights came in response? Do you not think Tampa has had a game where they made those mistakes? Or, is there a team that hasn't gotten smoked this season? And this was 4-2 not smoked. Lets try again, the fact is win % is real, the Flyers have a good one, when you make it sound like they are so bad, bottom of the league bad the win % contradicts your thought.

All teams have nights where the D just blows it, yes or no?

you can make the case that Ghost has been one of their top 2 D so far, last night being a horrible game for sure.

The Flyers as presently constituted are a plus team that will make the playoffs as a one or two seed. They took a step back with the loss of Niskanen and clearly need someone else to fill his role to make a cup run. Ekholm would be great but not worth losing more than either Patrick or Lindblom and a first round pick.Ghost has no value on the market and is more valuable to the Flyers than to another team...despite last nights boneheaded gaff. He's still better than Gus.

Last night's game is just one example. I can go back and look at the Buffalo games over the weekend and find many more bad decisions. All I am saying is I believe good teams like Tampa do not make these kinds of mistakes as frequently and consistently. Yes of course every team makes mistakes, but the Flyers make them at what I consider, just my opinion, an alarming rate. Yes the Flyers have a winning record now, but if they continue to play like this they will not very soon.

BTW, the Islanders by next week will be in first place in this division, how can that be considering they had a poor winning % in the early part of the season?

I don’t blame hart. I am his biggest supporter.
I think there’s two he’d want back.

Ahah maybe we can put both ghost and g on waivers immediately.

AV pointed this out as well in his post game presser, that Hart kept the team in the game last night, he played a very good game. The stats don't show it because the Flyers are allowing such high quality scoring chances right now.
- jd250

I hear a lot of people say this, but it's still a bad look to allow so many goals. I'm not saying Hart is a bad goalie and I understand that the team was not playing great in front of him, but its' still 5 goals allowed on 27 shots.

Duthie: It’s been one month since the New York Rangers cut ties with Tony DeAngelo and so far no takers for a player whose career has been full of controversy, what’s next for him?

Seravalli: Tony DeAngelo has expressed interest in a loan to the American Hockey League. That’s what he let the Rangers know, that he’d like to get playing again, he’s been skating for the last month to this point on his own. He’s willing to accept a loan to any AHL franchise and I believe the Rangers are interested in facilitating that, but it would take someone else stepping up to do so. Because the Rangers have let him know he’s not welcome in Hartford, the ties have been cut with the entire Rangers organization to this point.

I expect the flyers wouldn’t do that if he’s really a cancer in the dressing room. Are the rangers not able to terminate the contract due to conduct? Rangers appear to be screwed on this one. Just have to pay him and absorb the cap hit until his contract expires.

To be fair. One of those was essentially an eng although he hadn’t gotten to the bench. I expect that of someone asked hart he’d say he needs to be better at least on the first two goals.

I know Laughts is just get back from his Covid protocol pause but I really think among the 6 or 7 guys available in the middle six they need to get at least one line scoring and going strong and build from there. However is fine with me.

I don’t like the idea of breaking up the Coots line. Maybe if it was a string of these games, but not after 1. That line is the best in the league right now.

Laughton scored on a breakaway Saturday I believe. Or was it Sunday?

I’ve heard leafs fans claiming he and Thornton are the teams saviour and their incredible depth will lead them to a cup. Defence and goaltending win in the playoffs. Not run and gun scoring. Boston and tb would destroy them.
- Hextall271

Because Spezza has 12 points in 21 games, I’m being told he’d have 50 points if he played higher in the line up. Well considering he’s been unable to since the 2026-17 season, I beg to differ.

I understand and I dont think he was bad...but he sure wasn't great either. There do seem to be a lot of games, in his young career, where he gave up A LOT of goals. I'm not a stat guy so i dont know the numbers. I just think he deserves his share of criticism.

Yes, I wasn’t picking on him individually but the middle 6 line chemistry. He just happens to be a good left winger as well. A breakaway is great but scoring chances that look repeatable are better.

(frank) no.

I'd sooner trade Frost, NP and a 1st for Matty "Better than Provorov" Ekholm.

Was there some bad blood between Friedman and the Flyers or were they just running him to draw a penalty? Seemed like they were targeting him.

Announcers spoke about this during the game. Wonder what was said or why as well

Wow! Okay. He is that bad?

This AHL “loan” would mean that the Rangers retain his rights, correct? So it is really just for another organization to get an up close look and an opportunity for him to play games.

Exactly. Haven't heard of any teammates saying he is a bad guy. Many more saying he is fine; like Marc Staal.

your question ? Of course the Isles are playing better now. Point is, if the Flyers are in the top 10 in the league then it is logical to say they are performing better than 21 other teams. It would surprise no one who watched the other team that those teams were giving the puck away more, losing coverage more and other struggles???
