I remember a lot of bad plays and thinking, holy poop why is this guy on the top line?!

There's a reason no other team wanted him for league minimum. Buffalo didn't even want him back. Buffalo!

You don't know who wanted him. Even if it was Buffalo, he asked for a trade from there so he likely wasn't going back. Here he had the GM say he'd start on the 3rd line right after he signed. If you're a guy of his talent, you take that opportunity.

Example... 1-Matheson 2-POJ 3-Ceci 4-Marino 5-Letang 6-Pettersson

I don’t think the Ducks deal is realistic but if we could bring in Tatar and Rackell, I think that basically fixes the team. I just think we easily get out bid for Rackell.

I’m confident in saying Ceci is 1. After that I don’t know. I’d guess 2. Marino, 3. Letang, and 4. Matheson based on the idea that Matheson was putrid before he got hurt and has kind of fallen into a median after three or so excellent games and Letang has seriously picked up.

5. POJ, 6. Pettersson?

My next up would be Gusev over Rackell. Obviously different player, but I think he could set up Geno all day long.

Sweet thanks! Wont say thanks to everyone but looking for at least 5 views on it. Like the explanation though. I scrambled my "example" for a reason but there was 16 scouting assignments responses. Pretty much you are supposed to grade each defenceman after every game then take a total after 20 games. Its been cool to see and do so far.

I think adding Poulin if necessary to the ANA deal could get it done or at least bring them closer.
