NAK had a great couple of games versus Buffalo, and in general he is one of the few on this team that brings it each and every game. With that said, the Flyers have a lot of games coming up in March so I expect that players will be swapped each game to keep them fresh and based on match ups. - jd250
This was my line of thinking as well. Plus it allows Konecny to ease back in the flow of things.

Flames, Sabres, there are train wrecks building. There should be some sellers before the deadline |

Yeah. I’ve been looking at the flames. They made some real commitments this offseason that haven’t worked out. I’ve got to start looking at the rental market for dmen. I expect that’s the route fletch will take. |

If Patrick was playing better, I could see that. Laughton in my opinion is too good for the 4th line. If depth pushes him back that's great but not now imo. I wouldn't break up that 3rd line right now. - MJL
I totally agree. And I'm not thrilled about NAK being scratched if that is indeed the case. But if it's only for a game or two, then it's not really a big deal.
I wonder if they're really serious about this NoPa on the wing thing, and if that's the motivation for scratching NAK instead of Bunnaman. |

I was reading about the kid, Wisdom. The article had a link to this vid.

We have seen many of the players who have ground their way through the rough times to get to a paying gig in the game. It seems to be disproportionally true for black kids. This is a notion that is pressed onto my consciousness when I watched this vid.
I don't know if my awareness is fully tweaked but I didn't know the kid was black or his mom was white and that Canada isn't all that generous, even if you are blowing money on HOCKEY. HOCKEY!
O, Canada, you dropped the puck on this one.
Anyway, this kid is going to be as fierce as needed, as dedicated as needed, 'cause he's going to save his mom.
People who are saving others are what I appreciate as 'to the death' sorts. Getting in front of them means you are going to catch elbows. Taking what they prize is strenuous, taxing and liable to failure.
Go get 'em, kid!
Save your mom.

I don't get it. Like Aube-Kubel's game. He gets a bit overzealous on occasion and takes some bad penalties, but other then that he's played well. - PLindbergh31
In a playoff setting, you want Aube-Kubel in the line up. |

Not thrilled about it but at this point I'm not going to second guess AV's decisions (not when he's 52-25-10 for coaching the team). |

Let's keep in mind that even during Couturier's low scoring years, his ES point totals were at a 2nd line level in many years. - MJL
Yes, and Coots managed that w/ brutal usage (~60% DZ starts in most years) and often weaker linemates.
NP hasn't been saddled with any of that. Aside from missing one year, he has no other excuses. The Flyers have given him every opportunity to succeed. |

There is something seriously wrong with that team. Hall is not scoring. Skinner forgot how to score. Eichel is struggling. Something in the water out there. - MJL
Clueless ownership, a string of bad coaches and zero culture.
I suspect a lot of those BUF players are gonna move on to other places and thrive. |

Yes can we put whoever was complaining about that before in charge. An 0 for 3 is basically season on life support. - stayinthefnnet
There were a few here whining about the roster situation being unfair against Boston in LT.
boo freakin' hoo
That said, I wouldn't bet on going 0 for 3. Malkin definitely steps up his game when Crosby isn't around. |

Hockey is super expensive...Zayde played in the best kids hockey program in the city , the GTHL, formerly MTHL, most star players from Toronto play there. Kids families move there so their kids can play. His Mom’s sacrifice is really inspiring...it can’t be easy raising two little kids on your own and it’s pretty apparent she’s done a fantastic job regardless of how far this kid gets....he really reminds me of an unpolished Brad Marchand. Not fully sure of his total skill level, but his drive is going to see this kid play in the NHL. Just a great story with the main plot and ending still to come.

That was awesome.
I really hope that kid makes the Flyers, breaks out, and earns a huge payday for his mum. Judging by his level of motivation, I wouldn't bet against him. |

Not sure where Canada dropped the puck here, but I love that family. Quite a story.
