Chaisson's cross check on Vesey was a total female dog move - glad he got a game. If it's during the game and not after he just gets the boot from the game and a 5 but if he's stupid enough to do it after the final buzzer he gets a game.

I am excited for the game tonight for a few reasons, one being it's at 8pm vs 10pm so tomorrow morning won't suck as much.

I'm also excited because there is obviously some dislike between these teams now (I attribute most of it due to the Coilers having their delicate ego bruised) and it appears on the surface like there will be some shennnanagins and perhaps a couple donny brooks to occur, especially if one team is in a position where the game is clearly out of hand.

It's unfortunate that Simmonds is still out but I was overwhelmingly happy when I saw all the tweets and links to video of Travis "Banana Hammock" Dermott getting pointers and tips on fighting from Bogo and Sabourin. If Dermott can add to his game the element to throw down the odd time (not face puncher role but more like if it needs to happen and there is nobody on the ice who specializes or is the go to guy for it he is the guy) he becomes even more valuable.

Funny to see Oilers fans chirping on Twitter about how Archibald is going to beat the doors off Dermott tonight. I remember when that's all we had to look forward to as Leaf Fans "Ya, you may score more goals than us but Colton Orr, Jay Rosehill, Mike Brown, Frazer McLaren etc. is going to beat you up"!

Which is really jut the grown up version of "my dad is tougher than your dad".

Look I laughed too, but he just wanted Earl to play when he was 23 to see if he was an NHLer because they were icing piles of trash. He also wanted Wellwood, Williams and a bunch of the other AHLers to play to die or thrive. No point in bringing it up and I know his love of arguing got the best of him, but at least he wasn't a 11 year old Tick-Tok poster.

The hope is that Campbell can stay healthy and find a cheap backup that is an upgrade on Hutch.. I still think Hyman because he will cost less than Andersen
