Can we give the captaincy to the doctor keeping Matthews stitched together by duct tape?
- AdamFrench

Hyman should be C with Tavares and Rielly the A.

I think Matthews put it best yesterday after practice, he said "we are playing for something bigger than the regular season."

Which means the Leafs are winning the Cup this year or Tavares gets stripped of the captaincy and it goes to Matthews.

- PatC80

"C" hardly matter, Matthews is driving the bus. Love the way these guys move the puck.

I like Hyman, but you seriously need to get off of his Richard about everything cause you're slowly ruining that.

Meh, the Leafs still blew game 7 anyway. Bad calls happen on every shift. Win or don't.

Yeah but if the other teams had Andersen the Leafs would be over 100.
With 0 loses.

Of course, good thing we’re the only team with players that have good shots. 😳

Well, yeah... Him or the doctor that insists on keeping Andersen out of the lineup.

Ya 93 was great.
I think talent wise, i agree, dont think weve had this many superstars on the team.

- Fakepartofme

This is exactly it.

This team has more high-end talent than any Leafs team I've ever seen.

They aren't a better team - yet - than the '93 team.

They need to prove it.

Agreed.

Veterans are gonna veteran.

Vocal guys are going to be vocal.

The C is more important to the seamstress than to the team.

Kinda hard to say they blew game seven.

The greatest player in the history of the game says that it was the best game he's ever played.

Clears throat. I’m not 100% convinced Hyman is back next year. I think it depends on the decision they make in Freddie which probably comes down to how he does in the playoffs or later in the season. Unless they get some signals from Freddie and Rielly on good numbers, I think Hyman will be the odd man out. I doubt moving Kerfoot does enough. If Willie crumbles, then it’s a different story,

Toronto fans are convinced that Hyman will accept a salary that is 50% what he would get on the open market because he is from Toronto and makes $300 a year from children's books.

And Rielly will accept 66% of what he can get on the open market because his father grew up as a Leafs fan.

Winter is coming.

If it comes down to Hyman or Andersen, I think you have to keep Hyman.. We don't have another Hyman

To be perfectly honest, I don't even remember the game.

I remember watching it at a bar in mid-town Toronto with friends, and at the end of the game, my buddy had tears streaming down his face.

Oh Gawd, those three series were such an emotional rollercoaster.

Yeah.

They'll all get paid what they deserve. The question is do the Leafs move out other contracts to accommodate them, or put faith in some of the young up and comers.

Gretzky had the hat trick, Wendel had a 2 goal game and was buzzing on every shift.. I was at home watching with my brother and I remember thinking "Wow, Wendel's gonna physically carry the Leafs to the Cup final.
