Lehner just resigned for 5x5, doubt anyone gives Andersen more then that.

That just seems like too much money to pay for a guy to backup Fleury.

I would love to, but it's not really a sport where you can just go to Canadian Tire, get some equipment and start.
- Atomic Wedgie

Nope, you are correct.

Being in different divisions (Bolts and Leafs), I haven't been following the Leafs as closely as I usually do. So, I have a couple of questions for the Leafs fans :

1) How is Bogosian doing? Is he a pylon, or is he providing value?

2) How does Jumbo Joe look? I heard he broke a rib and missed some time, but seemed to be contributing before that. How much gas does he have left in the tank?

3) Goaltending. Which Andersen are you getting so far this year?

- GalacticStone

Bogosian was a good add. He isn't hurting us, which is as much as can be asked

Thornton started out looking lost, started to look a bit better, then got injured and cam back strong. Honestly, he has been better than I expected. It is tough to say what effect he has had in the room, but the team looks different.

Andersen is the same. He can look great, but lets in a softie pretty much once a game. sometimes more. I have zero faith in him in the playoffs. I don't see better options though. Campbell has not been tested over a full season. My biggest hope for Andersen is that he gets some rest this season, which may happen if the Leafs continue to play well.

sample size

and Freddie is a mediocre starter. I don't see any argument against that.

He looked absolutely franking awful the first 2-3 games, and I was really, really worried we had a lemon on our hands.

I haven't noticed him since then, which is of course high praise for a stay at home defenceman.

I'm also wondering if having the backup in the pipes makes guys subconsciously (or even consciously) be more defensively responsible.

I was amazed by how good the Leafs looked in their own end last night.

It was like they knew what they were doing or something.

You still need your courses to get your license.

Hutch has been a different goalie since he got traded to Colorado. I think he is finally being used properly.. Not just on back to backs and starting against the better team.. (I never understood why Babs would do that)

I think (but am not positive) that you can go hunting in Ontario without a license, as long as you stand next to someone who has one.

Just do NOT get caught... They do frown on hunting with no license, courses, etc..

I had an old boss who kept on teasing me that he would take me hunting, but he never did.

Maybe what I'm thinking about is that you can shoot a gun without a license, as long as you are standing next to the guy who does?

I don't know.

Before the season started, the North division was the strong division. Habs were supposed to push the Leafs, if not finish a head of them.

Now, Leafs are 17 - 4 - 2... Now the North blows.

Time will tell.

He could take you to a range for sure. Anyone can go shooting.
