Carry on, don’t watch just check out the stats in the morning James? - Garnie

So you do not believe that life experiences or the environment you grow up in have any effect on how tough or weak a person is? Either physically or mentally? - jribout
I dont think kids these days have it any easier.
And now with social media there's a whole new level of bullying to deal with for young people. I graduated just before smartphones, but i could imagine how difficult it would be for some kids these days.

I will actually genuinely tackle this point for one second.
Kids may have it harder in certain ways these days, you're right about social media, but they have it so much easier in other ways it's crazy. This is coming from someone who has kids. You have to grapple with schools to hold your kids to a standard, due to the pandemic they got even more of a free ride than normal. Everyone really does get a participation ribbon, that's not a generalization it's a real thing. The entitlement it results in is astounding.
Nothing is black and white. I see the challenges my kids face these days, but I don't worry how difficult it is for them now. I worry about how difficult the lack of preparedness is going to be when they hit the real world, because the lack of ability to cope with the stresses of adult life seems to be a breeding ground for depression.
You really do hate that feller eh? - DrunkenCanuck
Having an arrogant over the top opinion you slam down the necks of others as fact on everything will put someone to a point they get branded. That's life as the common denominator.
I'm developing some skills in ignoring him outright, it's early... There's still work to be done. But it's the effort that counts amirite.

I freaked out when my parents took us to Florida when I was 14 and I ate Key Lime pie for the first time. I hadn’t had poopty versions so I wasn’t prepared and man was it good. - Canada Cup

Herbies Bar and Chowder House. Best I’ve ever had, and I’ve been going to the Key’s since I was 10. We stayed in Marathon last May, and Herbies is our go to restaurant. Food is fantastic, and the pie is incredible. - Woderwick

I know, we won’t agree. After watching the goals we are scoring a lot this year Leaf fans should be happy with Freddie.
He hasn't been that good, but hasn't been that bad either. Ups and downs... Which is very Freddie.
I don't trust him come playoff time, especially if we get deep enough he has to outplay the Vasilevskys and such. - joel878
Leafs spent how many million on analytics and are still running with him. Pretty sure Canes would have taken him off our hands for a pick and we could have grabbed Lehner or Fleury etc.
We won’t agree, it’s all good...that’s my “it’s not the goalies fault” rant for the day. 🤣

Leafs fans shouldn't necessarily be happy with Freddie, they should be happy with the much improved right side of the D (TJ, Holl, and Bogo have been solid!) and team commitment to D has been impressive (tempered by North Division pooptiness?).
Having said that, I'm disappointed that Freddie won't start tonight because 3 shutouts in a row against the same opponent by 3 different goalies surely has never happened before.
So what contract do you offer him? - Atomic Wedgie
I think he’s sign for the same amount, not sure if sign him. I’d take a long look at Campbell if he can do it we save some cap for Hyman or Rielly.
I’m not a Freddie’s the best in the world guy, I just think last year in the reg season our D play sucked and all I kept reading was “if the goalie had a better save %” which doesn’t make any sense to me. ( regardless of who was in nets )

I imagine the increased hostility across and against all demographics is a result of the cesspool that is, ever-pervasive and almost-all-encompassing, social media.
One would think ageism should be as abhorrent as racism, sexism, and other forms of bigotry but, for some (frank)ed up reason(s), it seems to get a pass because... well, old folk are crusty types clinging on to their yesteryear bigotry and the kids? Well (frank) those inexperienced brats who have all of the unearned entitlement and none of the responsibility, amirite?!

Well said. Getting old sucks in may ways, but the alternative probably sucks more.
