Isn't Chicago basically garbage outside of the games they've played Detroilet, the Preds and Jackets? - AdamFrench
They are 3-4-2 excluding those games. They are 9-3-2 against the other guys. I like Kane & DeBrincat, but the team is very likely to come back down to Earth. |

Sure if you're upgrading, but to constantly go off on someone about their deficiencies and forgetting about the rest of their play is wrong. - bobbyisno1
Not trying to pile on Nylander at all. He puts up some big goals, and it’s not easy to do that. I just think this team would be better off with an elite d-man, and Willy could get us that player |

Mikheyev is having the perfect year. Flying around, playing physical, making a difference, but not contributing enough offence to push himself outside TO’s price range for next year. He was the best player on the ice last night
I’d swap Nylander for a top-four d-man in a heartbeat. Pesce, Ekholm, whatever. Or as a component of a larger deal for a top pairing guy - AxlRose91
Hyman was tops for me, but that HEM line is a beauty. Who cares if he scores more than a 3rd liner pace and I think they'll start going in if those lines are going to stick.
Now imagine Simmonds back on the 4th with Spezza and Boyd and Vesey riding shotgun on the taxi squad. |

If you want to move out Rielly, sure. I’d rather make sure we have two really strong scoring lines right now. |

This is the narrative I find hilarious (and not centering you out): Melander is soft and doesn't play the right way like a gud pro, but let's trade him for Seth Jones straight up. |

Nylander at 7 mill is a bargain for a 30 goal scorer. I'm not trading him just or sake of trading him. |

Huh? Who said Seth Jones? Pretty sure I referenced Pesce and Ekholm. Nylander has deficiencies, but he also has a tonne of value. If Leafs offered him to CAR or NSH straight up for those two guys, at least one of them says yes

This D group is playing the best stretch of D I've seen in 20+ years. Small sample size but I don't see any need to rock that boat.
Maybe some deck chairs get shuffled in the summer but I doubt it involves any of the Big4 up front. |

So this isn't true.
If you look at the raw numbers of the last five seasons (this season included), he's 85th at 2.06/60.
But wait, there's more!
That's if you include guys who have played too small a sample size to be a fair listing.
If we set a minimum of let's say 41 games, he's 50th. - Atomic Wedgie
and did we take out the season where he missed a 3rd.
Max has really picked some stupid (frank)ing numbers here. I told him that last time he posted this same crap... but he comes back with it anyway. |

Ekholm has one year left and I'm not sure that he moves the needle (this year) much more than the current top4. I have always liked Pesce ...but Nylander is a heavy price too. Plus the expansion draft is this summer ...can't protect all these guys.
Even if they do move the needle a bit it's not worth losing Nylander.
Anybody sniffing around on Nylander this summer had better be offering a very good young D on a good contract. |
