start drafting 19 y/o instead of 18 y/o
eveybody wins. easier for scouts to have a better idea of what players will become, and junior leagues keep their best players one extra year.

I don't necessarily disagree but the NFL still misses on about half of first round picks drafting 21 to 24 year olds. I'd just rather see the NHL tell the CHL to pound sand and stop pretending it's special when the truth is it's closer to slave labour and leaves more of the kids worse off rather than better when all is said and done. If I had a kid with a shot he'd be in the NCAA or Europe, hell I'd leave him in high school hockey over the CHL.

Edit: I'd also argue moving the draft to 19 year olds could stunt the development of those Crosby/McDavid's which is the last thing the league wants. You want the best players to be the best they possibly can be
