So.....what was the actual point of a coaching change since nothing has really changed? Still playing Romanov with Kulak or Mete, forward lines are still the same. Still not playing Allen right now like they should. Still putting out ridiculous lineups in 3 on 3 in OT. What exactly is the difference from where we were before?
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. |

Since the change of pads for Fleury, he has recorded an amazing record of 17-3-1, with four shut-outs. (7-1 in 2008 Playoffs.)
His save percentage has been .943, with a GAA of 1.52. These are compared to the beginning of the season with the yellow pads. His record was 9-8-1 with two shut-outs and a save percentage of .906 and a GAA of 2.61. - Fredobbface
There was a nice article in Quebec science just on that explaing that the more vivid the color, the more it advantage the shooters as they see them better !
They said the best pads for goalies were the white ones... |

Guys, it is not about the total minutes but about what type of minutes...
Let's take Danault... Let's say he plays 15 minutes...
Under Julien, 5 minutes 5 on 5, 5 minutes Short handed and 5 minutes on the power play...
Under DD, 5 minutes 5 on 5 and 10 minutes short handed and 0 minutes on the PP...
Same number of minutes but very different composition... You have to dig more to have a good judgment on the minutes...

I fully support that... Dark pads are just dumb... Shooters have a fraction of second to shoot so don't give them the advantage to shoot in the holes...
(frank), you don't have to be Einstein to get that... If I am DD, I tell the Goalie coach... He puts back the white pads or he stays on the bench... |

The lines might not have changed but the way they are playing has. They use the centre much more, they’re not just taking the puck up ice by the boards, the d-man are encouraged to support the attack more, Romanov has been taking more shots and got posts for his trouble but still, he looks better under DD. Jo Drouin also looks more involved even physically, so yeah even if the lines didn’t change, they style of play has. |

Absolutely... 3x3 is not the place to throw your body around...
He skates like the wind and can shoot...
Watch other games and try to find guys running after the others to slam them into the board and see how this ends...
Another loss...
