I need to start screen shotting things I say and responses I get.

Ive been saying it all offseason, hes one contract we dont need on the books with a massive logjam at RW.

I get your reasoning. But, we can't have a roster devoid of experience. Buch has been a very successful 3rd round pick. His salary is middling. He is just the sort of player you need with so much youth. IMO.

How are we going to afford our top young players coming off entry level contracts and other veterans who will need to be qualified and resigned like Buchnevich in the next few years when we would be spending 30 million on 3 players: Panarin, Eichle and Trouba with a salary cap frozen for the next 3 years?

5m for someone that could very well end up on the third line behind Kakko and Kravtsov?

Sure theres the possibility that Kravtsov is packaged in a trade for someone. However theres also the possibility he isnt.

Rangers are gonna have some serious decisions to make in the off-season assuming theres some stabilizing trades, as well as the blockbuster everyone is waiting on.

Two things: You are down on Buchnevich and saying he is going to get a $1.8 million dollar raise to $5 million? And, if he sucks as bad as so many people on here think, how you going to trade him making $5 million a year?

Because as of right now he still has 13pts in 19gms.

You dont trade him making $5m, you trade his rights or move him at the deadline.

When youre fortunate enough to have the depth that we have at RW someone like him can be expendible for a position of need. Its not like hes irreplaceable.

Also you have to think long term finances.
