I don't even know why Lou qualified him. At this point I almost feel bad for the kid. I'd rather just cut him loose and let him go try his luck elsewhere.

Truth be told, I wouldn't want to ship him across town to you guys. If he turns out to actually be a valuable player it would really suck to have to see him do it with the Rangers

The kid thought he was a lock for the NHL Islanders. It’s good to have some swagger as long as you can back it up. Missing the first day of your first training camp because you “overslept” doesn’t help your swagger much. Could be he is not a good presence in the room either. Regardless, if he was as talented as he thinks he is, he should have found his way to some NHL roster at age 25 by now. He has even been with two teams in the Swedish Hockey League this season already. That smells funny, eh?
