I think Freddie will return as well.
Plan B would be to have Tuukka Rask come in and play his final year as a Leaf. - Byfuglien Ate Me
I don't, he just plain hasn't been good enough to warrant moving something substantial to fit him under the cap. |

Andersen.
With Hyman up for raise and then Rielly... To fit Andersen at 6 million you gotta gut money from somewhere to make it work. I don't think he's been good enough the last couple years to make those kind of moves to accommodate him. 🤷🏻♂️ |

I’m not sure I’d be thrilled to see him go.

Boomer rock is a commonly used term.
It's rock that boomers listen to.
zero judgement here.
"Genres are a means of defining a group of things. As a means to separate rock from that era from rock from any other era, I say we call that boomer rock based on the way the generation that made it (boomers) respond, react, and defend it. Its rock made by and made for boomers." - Tanooki
Nah. It's a douchey term used by douches. |

Before this season, most of you nitwits never had even heard of Kevin Lankinen - while I was suggesting to add him to the Leafs.
Kevin Lankinen 2020-21 CHI L 15 15 9 3 -- 3 516 477 39 .924 2.55
if you're talking goalies, better ask me for my views
next year, Leafs should go with three goalies:
a 1A (Korpisalo would be a good fit) - 50 games
a 1B (Campbell) -32 games start
a goalie that is backup every single game (Woll)
truly rest the starting goalie that is not playing that evening.
if one of the starting goalies is not playing up to level, give Woll some starts.
rather have Woll with the big guys than in the AHL - he's got nothing more to learn there, and can only lose confidence by playing behind a mediocre defense.
Campbell looks like he's better than I thought and could develop into a 'Craig Anderson 2.0' --- a goalie great in a season with under 40 starts, but not as good when having to play 50-60 starts. (or at least a McSavey 2.0)
I'm still not sold on Campbell as a legit NHL backup (only played 67 NHL games at the age of 29y so far) -- but he's been much better in his 2 years with the Leafs so far than I thought he would be, and maybe he's actually got the self-confidence which was lacking in earlier stages of his career.
the support of teammates after that win was great to see -- seems he's definitely on this team next season unless he completely breaks down.. |

Why did you say Holtby was still a top 5 goalie in the NHL during the summer?

He's been pretty damm good at times for a goalie that plays for Columbus. - joel878
Umm not really.
His save % over the past few years is pretty bad. |

I've heard all these jokes form my uncles..
You south Ontario folks are so different form north Ontario folks. I truly believe it should be two provinces. Being from North Bay (the gateway to the north) i see both worlds. Although i've spent limited time in true north Ontario (SSM, Tbay, Kenora), once that Canadian shield start poking through, the people change, the culture changes. - Tanooki
Might as well just write your YA novel already and name yourself the special messiah. A child of both worlds! |

But member those good games against the Leafs?
You have to remember - The opinions of Columbus players are almost entirely made up from that 5 game series.
It's why Dubois/Jones/Korpisalo are all overrated here.
