Because the leafs get stronger and deeper without giving up mitch or willy which is a ridiculous idea and go in before they can't. Doesn't take much away so tinkering is a moot point if you can get a deeper more dangerous team on the ice. Attack don't chase, make the other team defend you.

I have to with the 'gull on this one. There's bound to be a bit of a recency bias in favour of Korpisalo because he was so good in the play-ins and the playoffs last year.

Last season, 60% of his starts were considered quality starts and he posted a save percentage of .911. It was also the only time he's ever started more than 30 games outside of his rookie season. 4 of his past 5 seasons, he has a negative GSAA.

He'd probably be a decent backup goalie, but we already have one of those!

He absolutely wouldn't be my first choice, but I think we're going to need to find a tandem goalie next season. He's young and could fit the bill. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I didn't say it was. Goalies take number hits when teams in front of them are bad, it happens. John Gibsons numbers the last two years are wretched compared to his career averages. Doesnt mean he is poope 🤷🏻‍♂️
