Zadorov is totally f****** worthless... no business on this roster but needs to be to save face for Stanley Blowman for trading Saad three times... rather have Beudin taking his minutes for experience... what a joke this clown is - bigfly46
Had high hope's for Z, knew he was not going to be a stellar defenseman, but atleast hit players cleanly and make them pay the price, but it's not happening , why not sit him down and explain his role with this team otherwise he should be gone. Each player needs to play to their strenghts.. Seems like an easy concept. |

Tied for 23rd, with Boston, in the NHL with 31 5v5 goals. Buffalo is last with 21. - scottak
I don’t think you factored in the games in hand. |

Man if he could just move his feet and play defense he'd be so good. Everytime he gets close to an opponent he stops skating |

Like I said before this team's downfall will be its defensive play, and don`t think this coach is the one to teach anyone how to play the game. |

DaHaan was far worse tonight and most nights than Zadorov was, why no hate for him. Also, our offense has been worse with Strome out than when he played, so there is that. |

Absolutely correct. He needs to keep skating and finish his check completely. Teams will start keeping their heads up and be more tentative if he does.

His feet are so so slow, AND clumsy. It looks like he has to think about and process every stride as he takes. |

I did not, raw ranking from Natural Stat Trick. It’s too late to do math. |

This is what this season is for, learning. And i think we learned tonight that Subban needs to remain the backup. This should not be a 1A and 1B scenario for the rest of the season with both him and Lankinen alternating and playing an even amount.
The defense, mainly de Haan and Zadorov, continues to scare me too. I honestly feel more comfortable about the rookies right now than i do with those 2. Its sad.
Overall the team can't be giving up this many goals to DET. Combined pathetic display by our goalie and the team defense. This is what you're gonna get.
But again, we learned something. However small it may be. We 100% know(and this hasn't changed since opening night and never will this season) that we aren't winning the Cup. If we make the playoffs and get another mini-post season run for the youth(added experience)?? Great. If not? So what, we're a young, steadily improving team that's without its top 2 centers(EDM, TOR, PIT, etc...picture these teams, or any team, dealing with that same thing. Not so easy to make the post season now is it?). We're rebuilding. And for the 2nd straight year i see Hawks players names flooding the rookie leaderboards. Heading in the right direction either way.
Like I've been saying its an odd feeling, at least for me, not having to worry. Not having any stress following a loss. The big picture is all that matters. Its an enjoyable part of the ride. We're fun to watch, and we've got nothing to lose/zero expectations. |

That Helm goal was a killer in this game. Can't take this team for granted they've been playing well lately. Hopefully the boys are focused on doing their job tomorrow night |

I don’t like either of them. AFAIC one can go at the TDL, and the other can be Darth's neighbor to the south next season. |

This is why i said wild card earlier today, this is how i feel about deHaan, Murphy, and Z as your defensive partner.

I think we can safely say which 3 Dmen the Hawks will protect in the expansion draft.
Keith, Seabs(if eligible) and Murphy. On the bright side, the big oaf shouldn't cost more than he currently does. Heck, I would offer Seattle a package deal. 2 D-men for the price of one. They can have de Haan, Zadorov and the Hawks can even throw in Carpenter for the gritty, useless vet that every team needs. |

Best game of the season for Boqvist, too bad it came in a loss. 7 points in 11 games, considering how up and down this season has been for him, he is putting up points and is only a -1. |

Murphy is a keeper, he’s been arguable their best d-man the past couple seasons.
Maybe Bowey gets in tomorrow with de Haan or Zadorov sitting? |

Totally agree with you but does JC. Have the wherewithal do it. Sitting either of them with Bowey drawing in couldn't hurt. |

To me he just seems a play behind way too many times, like on the 1st goal tonight and sometimes he just has to chase the puck, last game even though it was on deHaans side he had to go attack the forward and the puck instead of protecting the front of the net. We have him at a good price but i want better. |

Isn't Bowey a RD? We have LD that can play on the right side, but can our RD play on the left? |

I'd also expect some improvements though, even if its very gradual. Lots of talent out there, its very young and inexperienced...but with each game you'd like to think we're slowly getting better. - SimpleJack
