The only "replacement" guy I see on the ice with the main group is Bunnaman. So maybe Scott Laughton and Oskar Lindblom do have a chance of playing tomorrow.

Nice. Thanks for posting. No Braun, interesting. |

Must be some kind of mistake. I thought Laughton and Lindblom aren't able to exit COVID protocol before tomorrow. Unless they were able to prove that they're both not in any way contagious (and never actually got it) and thus got an exception from the league to come off the list a day early.
In Laughton's case, he must have just scared it away from getting to him:

Comical if Myers sits. - login
He did struggle against the Rags. But him sitting over Gus or Hagg is a bit confusing.
Hagg to me is atrocious on the ice. He has poor hockey sense and his passing is dreadful. Only thing he can bring is physicality imho |

Even Hagg's physicality is poor, often chasing late hits and putting himself out of position, which leaves his other D partner scrambling to cover for him. Really playing him over Myers is something close to gross negligence from the coaching staff |

More good news. At least it’s Buffalo. Not that they are complete push overs, but we should still be able to match up with tk out. |

I find the PP real interesting, seems putting Patrick with the G and now Jake is a thing, plus Ghost and Gus. Then you have Coots group, really does look like they are spreading the wealth.
PP1: Giroux, Voracek, Patrick, Ghost, Gustafsson
PP2: Hayes, Farabee, JvR, Couturier, Provorov |

Should be competitive. Need to start playing the team game better, the shots and G’s hustle from last game are promising signs.
The Twitter comments from AV’s Covid line joke... Yet, perhaps we should call them “Protocol Returns” instead. Okay.

I know the Flyers are still missing some players and the Sabres gave the Flyers a hard time so far this season, but the Flyers must take 4 points from last place Buffalo this weekend. After the Sabres, it will be 4 tough games in a row against the Pens and the Caps. Hopefully everybody is back and they have their skating legs? |

I agree that they need the 4 points. As far as skating legs...Protocol Returns will have only had 1 practice after 2 weeks out.

I expect at least 3 points out of each of them their first game back. |

It was indeed a mistake (Bill's, in his blog today ).
Their last day on the list was yesterday, and thus were both eligible to practice today:

Wasn't a mistake, just a piece of missing info. They were placed officially on the protocol on Feb 13. Tomorrow will be two weeks. However, there was already "unofficial word" swirling on the 12th that there were several likely new positive tests... which turned out to be Laughton and Lindblom being added to the list on the 13th and TK on the 14th. I don't know that this was the result of a second confirmatory test. But if the 14 days is dated from the 12th for practice purposes and the 13th to potentially play, that would explain it. |

With how well some have been playing. Yeah if one unit isn’t on the other one may step up. |

the visual on this looks good, you would think they could get better matchups for at least one unit. |

Regarding Jay O'Brien at Boston University, what I am excited about the most about this kid, besides that he has 12 points and 6 goals in 11 games, is that he is leading the team in shots (24) which is far ahead of anyone else on the team. And his speed is quite evident when you watch him play. Joel Farabee emerged as one of the best players for BU as his first season went along, and this kid is showing similar promise. I am getting so excited about him in fact, I might even say I 'm on the fence as to whether he becomes a real impact player for the Flyers, similar to how Joel Farabee has been so far this year. - jd250
I’m not sure why you think SOG is such an important stat. But to keep it straight, Luke Tuch leads BU in shots with 26. |
