Very impressed at how they overcame a horrible first period. Usually, winning when you play that bad is a trademark of good teams. So who knows. And this was 5-5 victory, not the NHL gimmick of the loser point. They need more of these types of victories ie regulation, to be considered a good team. Truly fun to watch.

Glad we improved the overall team defense after some early first period jitters.

Lankinen getting plenty of hype and deservedly so....but how about Subban too? He's been pretty damn good when called upon.

Strome had a decent first 10 games or so, but he's regressed back to his form from last season ever since, unfortunately.

He's just not that good, IMO(decent compared to your average NHLer in a vacuum, but for a #3 overall pick with potential 1C ceiling he's been a disappointment). I doubt he has that much more room for growth either, he just doesn't seem to have the proper tools(including mentally/hockey IQ). Maybe he can work on his skating and strength a bit more, we'll see. But i doubt we get anything more than what we're currently getting right now/so far this season. And on top of all of that he's somewhat injury prone. Can't ever get a nice, long stretch of solid play going without it being interrupted by a stint on the IR...and then has to start all over again/regain his confidence.

JFC, if Colliton were taking notes he wouldn’t know what to do game to game. If he followed a certain few posters for advice he’d need psychiatric care because the opinion changes not based on ten game segments, not based on game to game play, or period to period not even shift by shift but on each individual play!
